the studio is in a very quiet little street but very closed to all amenuities (restaurants, bars, shops and 3 metro lines - 150 meters)
The best part is the location; you're in right near a bunch of cafes, a big mall (in case you forgot something at home, which I did), a couple Indian and Thai and Japanese restaurants -- Kanimaraa (Indian) and Otakuni (Japanese) were my favorites. The wonderful neighborhood of the Butte aux Cailles is also steps away; I walked through there each day. There's a boulangerie right on the corner and two small and one large grocery stories close by.
You're also steps away from the Place d'Italie metro, where three lines meet, meaning you're less than 30 minutes and at most 1 transfer away from the major sights of Paris. The metro was easy to navigate from there.
The place itself was small but more than enough for me. The futon style bed was plenty comfortable, the table and chairs a nice resting spot. The wifi worked fine, the kitchen was tiny but equipped well enough for me to feed myself when I felt like staying in. The main room has nice big windows that open into a private courtyard so you can open them at night without letting all the noises of Paris inside. I found the bathroom a little challenging and cramped, but I'm also a big guy (6'6" tall, nearly 2 meters); it probably would be fine for people less gargantuan.
Mme Souan met me when I arrived and gave me guides, maps, a complete description of the place, and a warm welcome to Paris. All in all it was a great experience for me traveling alone; a couple could do fine here as well.
The apartment is small, but enough for all the basic needs for a week in Paris. We stayed with my husband for 9 nights, and although is a small place, we did not lack of anything. The location is super. One block from a bakery, and one block from a big mall with have a big supermarket in it. Perfect. A lot of cafes and restaurants around, no far than 2 or 3 blocks away. The metro is one block away, and you can go everywhere in Paris from there paying just less than 2 euros. The description is precise, what you see in the picture is what you get. Frances the owner is super, helped us in finding places, gives recommendation about where to go and is always smiling and warm welcomed us although we arrived 2 hours late. You have to climb one floor by stairs to get to the apartment but is a short distance, nothing to be worried about. The look of the entrance to the building is awful, but do not pay attention to it, because it has nothing to do with the apartment itself and with the neighbors, who are nice and polite. A couple of advice: if you are going to stay for more than a week, plan to bring a couple of extra towels with you, because we were there for 9 nights and we were provided with just two towels. Also, bring toilett paper or plan to go and buy it right at your arriving. The same with sugar, coffee or other basic that you would need before going to the supermarket. Just that, otherwise it was perfect and I would stay again next time :) I totally recommend it!!!
Its very nice appartement. Really near to station of metro (we numbered 150 steps). By metro you are in 15-20 minutes in centrum. Its small, but for 2 poeple in holidays its enough. Kitchen is small, but we cooked easy meals without problems. Around appertement is very nice part of Paris.
"The studio is very small, but clean and lovely decorated with all necessary equipment. The kitchen is smallest I''ve ever seen, I wonder if it is really possible to cook there (I only managed to cut bread). The bad is a little bit narrow, but the mattress and the pillows are comfortable. Quick unlimited Internet. Unfortunately we didn''t meet the owner, but she always quickly answers your e-mails. The location is very good: metro station 2 minutes walk, direct lines to nearly all main places of interest. Big shopping mall nearby with food supermarket, a lot of restaurants. Problems with parking - as everywhere in Paris we guess. But we parked free 4-5 stations by metro in suburb. Generally - great price/quality."
The apt. is as the same as what it be described.
The location is convenient to go to most of places within two metro lines.
The studio is clean, warm, and with almost facilities that you need.
There is a sunday market nearby, and good baguette is just at the end of market.
The owner is welcoming and friendly, good patience to be asked questions.
The shower is a little bit small, not suit for the big-size person.
Generally, it's quite safe for a single female, and I would like to stay again.
Buses and metro (line 5 - 6 and 7)
There is a very popular regular open market and the Location is little known by tourists but very much appreciated by Parisians
