Good place to stay at Big Sky

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Robert's condo in summer of 2015 for almost three weeks, came to see Yellowstone NP and surrounding areas.

Apartment itself is very nice, clean, well maintained and really roomy. We did not spent much time inside, though. Complex includes pool/gym area (it was included), few restaurants inside the building or few steps next to it, some nice activities like climbing wall or giant swing at the activity center + 3 zip lines of different complexity easily accessible from the village + lone peak expedition (a must in my opinion) - that's to keep the gang busy without hitting the road. Ah, there are paddle boats/boards/canoes at the lake located next to the village entrance, good place to spend a warm day.

Plenty of hiking/horseriding within 1/2 hour of driving, as well as local shopping.

Beer festival occurs at the village center in the middle of July if one is interested - plenty of local breweries are present.

Yellowstone park is good hour of driving + time spent at the traffic jam at the park entrance. Giving distances inside the park, one hour is not a disaster, but be aware of it if Yellowstone is the goal of your trip.

We were warned about bear in the proximity, but did not see them in the village. Foxes and deers are regular at the parking lot, but for grizzlies you need to drive to the Gallatin river valley.

Ah, and rafting on Gallatin river is a good opportunity to spend a day.

Bottom line: great place to spend vacation time - both location and property itself. Highly recommended.

Great condo and great location !

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time in Big Sky and the condo is beautiful, clean and right near the slopes. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Living room has a cozy fireplace and great views of the slopes. The upstairs loft is huge - one queen bed, one single bed and a sleeping sofa. This creates a privacy for the adults who can hang out downstairs while the kids are upstairs. The unit is in a hotel which offers a good breakfast buffet; we also tried the fondue restaurant which was such a great find. Robert, thank you so much for the prompt booking and making it such an easy process. We will definitely be back in Big Sky!

We really enjoyed staying at this condo, skiing was awesome!

  • 4 of 5

This condo was very well located with easy access to the lifts at the base are. The indoor ski storage and boot driers in the Ski Valet area was awesome!. The unit was very quiet being on the top floor and on the end, only drawback is the sound of very early morning snow removal outside the building that usually woke us up around 5-6am, but such is life, at least it snowed!! The on-site hot tub with connected outdoor pool was a very welcome bit of relaxation after a day on the slopes...having the work out area located in the same room as the hot tub was a bit odd, as it made running on the treadmills a little steamy. Bedding and furnishings were very comfortable, and having 3 bathrooms was a nice bonus! About the only drawback was not having a TV in the second floor loft area/bedroom, it would be much nicer for those sleeping there to be able to watch TV when relaxing or in bed.

Great Location

The property is in a great location and is an outstanding unit. The place was clean and in great condition. It is truly ski in / ski out with great restaurants and shop within a very short walk - no need for a car. Outstanding ski trip.

Great Place for a Family Ski Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent 10 day stay here over the Christmas New Year Period. The apartment is large clean and spacious with great mountain views and well located for skiing and access to the shops and restaurants of the ski base area. The Shoshone has a wonderful heated pool that allows you to swim from indoors to outdoors which is a great place to relax and ease the leg muscles after a hard day's skiing. Robert is a very impressive owner and responds very quickly to all queries which made our stay particularly easy. This place was ideal for a family of 5 like ours and I'd be very happy to stay there again. Theoretically the maximum capacity is 10 but I think that would be a bit of a squeeze. There is not a washing machine or dryer in the apartment so you have to use the laundry in the basement of the adjoining Huntley apartment block which is a minor inconvenience. Overall however this is a great option for anyone wanting to ski Big Sky particularly for a family.
