This is a gorgeous, spacious, colonial home newly tastefully and fully furnished. It is only 3 1/2 blocks from Parque Central, and 1 block from the famous Calzada which is chuck full of restaurants, arts & crafts, performers, and interesting people. It is also a very short walk from other excellent restaurants and the market. Although centrally located it is a fairly quiet neighborhood (except for few weeks around Christmas when nowhere in Granada is quiet). Lake Nicaragua with its beautiful little islands, kayaking, boating, and bird watching is only about 20-25 minutes walk away.

About Imi Ganz
I am a retired psychologist and have enjoyed traveling for the past almost 4 years. For 2 years I lived on my sail boat and sailed from Maine, US, to the Bahamas and back twice. I then lived in Costa Rica for a year and on a visa run to Granada Nicaragua fell in love with Granada and bought my house there. But after many years of being away I wanted to live closer to where I grew up and where my family and friends are. So I am currently living in Spain from where I can visit Israel more easily and cheaply.
Imi Ganz purchased this House in 2014
Why Imi Ganz chose Granada
During my visa run to Granada (going out of Costa Rica to renew my tourist visa) I was talked into exploring buying a house there. Imi Casa was the first house I saw and I fell in love with it - it's gorgeous, spacious, Colonial style; the arches and flow of air, the central courtyard, and the view of Mombacho Volcano and the city from the second floor. I saw quite a few other houses afterwards and didn't like any of them as much
What makes this House unique
3 very separate bedrooms, each with its own large and beautiful bathroom......beautiful backyard and pool to hang out and cool off...... Short walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping

I have stayed in several houses in Granada in this price range and consider this the best
Brighr, breezy, spacious, good location.
Nice house, great location, refreshing pool!
Imi the owner is very responsive when booking the reservation. The folks (Grethell and Neil) that manage the house are also great and very responsive. We spent a month here when we first moved to Granada and it was a great home base to explore and learn more about Granada. The location is killer - one block to La Calzada and lots of nearby restaurants, bar, and the gym Pure. Also great for running next to nearby Lake Nicaragua. The house itself is very welcoming and clean and modern and the pool out back is great for cooling off - we had to drag our 3 kids out of it :-). I highly recommend this house to future guests!
A few notes for future guests would be that the street is a busy one and noise can be an issue at times (loud motorcycles/cars, trucks with speakers blaring advertisements, parades, fireworks, etc.). This does come with its advantages though as it means people selling fruit/vegetables/ice cream/donuts also come down the street. Fresh avocado anyone? Yes, yes please. Also, there is only A/C in the downstairs bedroom - that being said it was fine for us because the 2 upstairs rooms are naturally more breezy and had fans so we were plenty cool at night.
Beautiful Place to Land/Explore Granada
We decided to move our family of five to Granada and this home was a beautiful landing pad for our first month. My children loved the plunge pool and played there everyday. My husband and I enjoyed the courtyard where we would start our day doing yoga/meditating. The turquoise kitchen is charming, and Catherine who cleaned the house was a total gem: helpful and did a great job keeping it in tip top shape. All in all we had zero problems, I recommend it highly. The management is also very responsive: one day the mosquitoes all showed up (it is the rainy season). And Grethell the property manager was on it and scheduled a spray very soon which totally took care of the problem.
I highly recommend this property for a family or anyone looking for a pleasant vacation. Also the location is super convenient (we loved walking a few blocks to the Garden Cafe for breakfast or enjoying icecream in the park) and listening to the horse drawn carriages a treat.
Also Imi the owner was very kind and informative-- when she found out that I worked for myself she had a desk set up for me and gave me info about the internet.
Book it, they will take good care of you and you won't regret it! Courtney Pinkerton
