Lovely cottage for 4 with river views, parking, and outside space.

Trevillis is a lovely cottage situated in the grounds of the Commonwood Manor in East Looe. With lovely views over Looe and the river, ample outside space, parking, wifi and quality internal furnishings this is a great base from which to enjoy the delights of Looe and surrounding areas.

On the ground floor is the comfortable sitting room with leather settees, flat screen TV and patio doors leading out to the furnished patio area with BBQ. The lounge is open plan to the dining area which also has doors to the patio. Up a few stairs is the fully fitted kitchen complete with electric oven, gas hob, extractor, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and breakfast bar. There is a utility room on this level with washing machine and also a wc.

Upstairs is the master bedroom, a spacious room with king size bed and large window seat which is a great space to sit and enjoy the beautiful views over Looe river and the surrounding hillside. This bedroom has a flat screen TV and access onto the furnished balcony from where the views can again be enjoyed. A master bedroom en suite is newly fitted for the 2016 season with jacuzzi bath and separate shower cubicle. The second bedroom is a twin room again with an ensuite with bath and electric shower over.

The property has a parking space and is a short walk from Looe town centre

Really lovely accommodation and great location

We had a really great week and would definitely recommend Trevillis Cottage. The cottage itself was so comfortable, with a really well equipped kitchen and amazing views across the river. Only a short walk into town but very quiet and peaceful and very cosy despite the fact that we had snow the first few days of our stay there! Thank you very much for a lovely week and looking forward to staying again in the future!

Ideal hideaway with stunning views

Our family enjoyed a 10-day stay at Trevillis Cottage at the end of June, beginning of July '17 - the accommodation is absolutely spotless, well laid out, with the three balconies adding lovely outdoor living space throughout the day (from breakfast on the bedroom balcony, to afternoon or late evening dining on the patios, which are total suntraps). The views over the river and Looe are breathtaking - the positioning of the property also means you are sheltered from any winds coming off the sea. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and utensils for cooking/BBQ-ing at Trevillis. The only negative I had was that it should be made a little clearer in the description that the driveway up to the property is extremely steep (we were grateful we had taken my husband's 3-litre engine car as my little 1.2-litre Citroen would never have had the revs to make it up the hill) however, now we are aware of and used to the driveway, it would not stop us from returning to Trevillis. Instead of navigating the drive every day, we chose to walk down the pathway steps to the main road and walked into Looe a few days (getting the train to Plymouth one day). Trevillis is an ideal base and an extremely comfortable stay.

The accommodation was excellent.

Unfortunately the weather was horrendous, which sadly cannot be predetermined. Making the property a more important feature to the enjoyment of the holiday. On some days, due to the atrocious weather and hazardous driving conditions, we were house bound and unable to visit other destinations, beaches, villages etc. I would imagine that in a less comfortable and accommodating environment the holiday could have been a disaster. On the contrary offering peace and quite and a stunning ever changing view over the river valley, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to our friends and relations.

The harbour and beach are a 5-10 minute walk away situated in Looe, an ancient and picturesque fishing port on the southeast coast of Cornwall. Famous for its shark angling club the town has a maze of tiny streets which lead from the bustling harbour through streets lined with a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants to the fine sandy beach. Looe is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall with the Eden Project only a 40 min drive away and the north coast, Padstow and St.Ives, etc.being reachable in about an hour. The fine cities of Truro and Plymouth and the delights of Dartmoor can be easily enjoyed for a day out.

Water sports, sailing, fishing, fine golf courses, riding, coastal and country walking are all readily to hand.
