You want to become a Sicilian
If you want to spend holidays away from touristic crowds (which you have anyway just in Taormina on Sicily), you are here at the right spot. A huge property not far from the sea. You can walk just on this land every day if you want ...... with Joy, the 25 years old black, tall Mustang (just a sweatheart, gelding). An experience for people that do not have contact to horses otherwise. He follows you when you walk around but cannot come directly to your house, do not worry. He is totally calm. The landlord and his family is there for you 24/7 if needed. He speaks very well English. Tonino, the gardener and man for any situation is helping you whenever needed, if you can talk a few words Italian/Sicilian but he will understand you. He is on the site every day, serveral times but does not disturb you at all. So, you have all you can ask for there. Enough space in the Villa, enough space around and in the pool. You find several and nice beaches closed to the house. Fine sand, not gravel or rocks. The kitchen is very well equiped, so you can cook at home or use the restaurants in the village or other close spots. And last but not least we got a new member to our family, a beautiful and very, very smart baby dog (not a wild one - never saw a wild one anyway) from the neighbour. The dog came to us daily. My wife fall in love (she never wanted a dog!) with this beauty and we could take her over but this is an entire different and loooong story. Destiny. So, we will never ever forget this week in Santa Croce Camerina. Many thanks to Rosario, his lovely wife, Tonino and Joy.
Hallo from Rosario and many thanks for your wonderful words. We really hope to see you again and naturally Cicciolina will be welcome. Rosario and family.
Perfect Villa - Excellent Facilities
I will warmly recommend a stay at this villa in Sicily. It was the perfect base for our group of 18 in fact so lovely a spot that we did not venture out very much. The weather was beautiful and the well maintained terrace/garden/pool/tennis court provided entertainment for both adults and children. Beach and shopping a short drive away. I cannot fault anything and everything turned out well above expectation.
Villa Santa Croce Camerina - June 2013
Eight of us have just returned home after spending a wonderful week at this superb villa. Everything was as described, even better than the photos. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Rosario couldn't have been more helpful. The pool area was lovely and provided welcome relief from the mini heatwave we had during our stay. The tennis court and equipment was excellent. We did try to eat in the local restaurant but it was unfortunately closed. However, the BBQ was well used during our week and the local supermarket provided us with very cheap provisions. A car is essential as public transport and taxis are not very reliable. I would definitely recommend this villa - my only complaint is that a week was not long enough.
Great Place to Stay - Bellissima Casa per Vacanza
We visited Sicily in February 2010 and opted for this lovely house! It was a perfect place for all of us - the kids had a great time playing outdoors and even when it rained (just a bit :) they could play in the roofed area outside. We all played tennis and hide and seeks (yes the adults too!) and enjoyed walks within the extensive grounds.
The house itself was very well equipped, cosy (it was Winter) and spacious.
Mr & Mrs Berardi were great hosts and very attentive to our needs, and Pino would check on us daily. They also gave us some good restuarants tips (try Rosacambra just 100meters away for excellent Typical Sicilain food!)
We will definitely choose this house again if we want to go back to Siciliy! Many thanks from Chistine and family!
We visited this house in Mai 2008.
The villa and the environment is even more beautiful than shown on the websites. The rooms are large, the garden is about 200000qm which should be enough. The tenniscourt and pool are in excellent condition. The only thing that disturbed a little bit is the noise of the electirc water boilers if someone is turning off the water, but it is not too serious.
The owner is very friendly, always reachable and trying to do everything that you can enjoy your holidays.
The Province of Ragusa has recently been included by UNESCO in the World Heritage List for its precious Baroque style buildings. It is literally a casket full of architectural, archaeological and naturalistic treasures.
There are numerous tourist attractions: the Baroque style towns of Ragusa, Modica and Scicli, the ruins of the Great Greece city of Kamarina, its famous museum, and the hinterland of the Hyblean Mountains, characterized by deep “gorges” and its typical wild Mediterranean undergrowth, populated with rare species. Last but not least, the extraordinary “Cava d’Ispica” Park, a deep canyon with evidence of a prehistoric past life and many nature beauties. And in Ragusa the breathtaking Baroque quarter of Ibla, built on a hill, is like a jewel embellished with the splendid gems of Baroque architecture: the cathedral of San Giorgio, the many spectacular churches and all the stately homes
Other Activities: Wine tasting, cooking courses, photographs weeks.
