About Cheryl Papadakis
My name is Cheryl Papadakis and I manage the property for my mother (owner). I live in Magnolia minutes away from the home with my husband, a musician by profession, and my two daughters, Mia and Zoe (both aspiring musicians as well!). We love traveling, sailing, cooking, and attending our daughters' many concerts and musicals!
Why Cheryl Papadakis chose Magnolia
This house is a very short distance to downtown Seattle, ferries, and all that the Seattle area has to offer in the way of sports games, museums, shopping, aquarium, zoo, Pike Place Market, tours and the many culinary delights!
What makes this House unique
The view is beautiful to the south of downtown Seattle, Elliot Bay and Mt. Rainier. The backyard is completely fenced, and quite spacious for a city home. We ask if you rent this home that you be respectful of our two neighbors who work early and one has young children who goes to bed early with their windows open in the summer. Our guests are welcome to be outside in the evenings but after 8:30 p.m. please be considerate and keep noise levels to a minimum.
Both neighbors work early and one has a child who goes to bed with their window open. Noise levels outside must be at a minimum past 8:30 p.m.
Under no circumstances will there be pets, or smoking on premises

Very welcoming host,Made our stay easy.
Home was located perfectly for work and weekend activity. Very clean and well stocked. We will reach out anytime we’re working in the area.
Lovely home away from home
Four generations gathered from around the US to celebrate our Seattle son's wedding and loved every minute of being in this home. Great location, close to bus stops and easy car access to downtown and everywhere we needed/wanted to be. Discovery Park is nearby; we could walk to Magnolia village center shops & restaurants. Being across from the water tower was a great landmark! Charming, comfortable, well-equipped, plus Lori and Sarah went above and beyond to see that we were well taken care of. The patio and back yard was perfect for our two toddlers to enjoy while the adults relaxed and watched over them. The home and neighborhood are very welcoming. We would highly recommend a stay here again and will hope to return in the future!
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We're so pleased the house, surroundings and nearby amenities worked so well for your family! Please do join us again!
Look no further! This property has it all. So spacious and well taken care of. The neighbourhood is fantastic and safe. We will book again for sure :)
Thank you so much! We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return!
My First VRBO Experience
Cheryl was amazing to work with from the moment I booked through the end of our stay. Our mini family reunion included a toddler and Cheryl went far above our expectations by providing a Pack and Play, a high chair and even a car seat! She was very helpful with requested advice on restaurants, sights to see, grocery stores etc. The house is very conveniently located for all our destinations, including the cruise ship port!
Stunning Views at Spacious Home
Nice house in quiet neighborhood had more than enough room for our group of 5 - we each got our own floor! Home was clean, tastefully decorated, and host was quick to respond to any issues. Views from the front porch are a fantastic way to start the day. Due to the neighborhood's location, a car is almost a necessity to reach most of the city. To take a break from driving, we took the bus one day, but be aware that it takes awhile to reach the main points of interest downtown, if that's your target. Overall, a pleasant place to stay for a group of friends or family that allows everyone some privacy and personal space.
Great House for a Month in Seattle
This home was a fabulous place to stay for the month! Cheryl and her family helped up feel very welcome and we communicated easily + promptly via text during our stay. Our immediate family ( parents + 2 kids, 10/12 yo) used the upper two floors, and we had two rounds of visitors who used the downstairs rooms - providing both of us privacy, space, etc. The kitchen is small but well-equipped, and the bathrooms are spacious and updated. We often walked to the local tennis courts (at the Magnolia Rec Center) with the kids - and were at the farmer's market all but one Saturday. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the evening admiring the houses and views. The stairs at the end of the street became a quick workout (ten sets = 600 up/downs!). The water tower was a fun landmark to follow as we explored the city. We could see fireworks from the porch and upstairs on the fourth of July. Proximity to Ballard and the locks is also a real plus. We never tired of the views, especially after Mt. Rainier (finally!) decided to appear. Cheryl helped us arrange a babysitter a couple times
- her daughter! We rented a car for the month, and for nights out we used rideshare to get downtown, which was usually about $15. My even-better-if would be a king bed in the master... That said, I wouldn't hesitate at all to rent this property again. Thanks for a great stay!
