Martha`s Harbour is perfectly situated for the Fife coastal path and a quiet get away to chill the only down side there is no pub in the village or within walking distance.

Owner's Response: Hi, apologies for not informing you that the local pub had closed down, it was rather sudden. There is (in case you ever return) a small bar in Craig Millar restaurant. Hopefully someone will take over the ownership of the Mayview too.

Heartbroken to leave Martha's harbour 🌞

  • 5 of 5

I was rather dubious as to how much I'd enjoy my late summer hols in Scotland and We're leaving totally convinced that it was one of the most enjoyable. Loveliest property, lots of thought gone into it, views of the sea, a paved outdoors area which was most enjoyable for breakfast and lunch or reglective evening moments; home away from home; pretty village; coastal walks; a michelin starred restaurant, fine dining; the 18th tee; the friendly coffee shop on station str; the surprisingly sunny weather...I could go on and on...plus we loved talking to Emil and meeting Martha 🐕

Just Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the most enchanting cottages we have ever stayed in. It is immaculately clean and the decor is simply stunning and full of artistry. All the equipment is of good quality and a pleasure to use. So much thought has gone into every last detail and everything you could ever need is there.

Sitting on the sunny patio listening to the waves lap the shore is bliss. The cottage is right on the coast path and St Monans and all the other little fishing villages close by are a delight to visit. There is so much history to explore in these places and the locals are so friendly and very happy to tell you about their memories of growing up in this captivating part of the country.

There are also mouthwateringly good products to be had from the artisan baker and the artisan butcher in Anstruther. Finally, you can't leave St Monans without eating at least once at the Smoke House on the harbour, fish at its freshest and smoked on the premises.

It is beautiful, comfortable and in a good position in St Monans

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we walked into the cottage we were impressed by the effort the owners had made to make Martha's Harbour a very special place.

It is not a huge cottage but the decor, and the placement of the furniture create the illusion of large rooms with comfortable seating areas. Although small the kitchen has all the mod cons required, and hidden behind several closed doors are a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a fridge as well as a free standing cooker.

The two bedrooms have comfortable beds with good quality bed linen and it is possible to see the sea from the windows.

The piece de resistance must be the patio tiled with large tiles and comfortable sitting areas. A few steps go down to a little nook with two chairs facing the sea.

St Monans itself is a lovely place with walks along the coastal road.

My husband and I, as well as two separate sets of friends and family who paid us a visit, couldn't believe how lucky we were to find this beautiful cottage.
