A sunny courtyard welcomes you on entering, with hallways leading either to a stone arched dining room, to a modern equipped kitchen with sunny herb yard, or to the lounge area with patio doors on to a spacious, sunny pool deck with large pool and BBQ area. Also at this level are 2 bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom and one with a separate shower/lavatory. Another bedroom also with ensuite bathroom, terraces and views are at first floor. All in tasteful Mediterranean decor.
We are safely back in England (very wet and windy) and thought we would just drop you a quick line. We all enjoyed our stay in your beautiful farmhouse which was so relaxing that some of us could hardly bear to leave it. We made full use of the pool and sundecks!
I hope we left everything intact and tidy. No breakages that we know of.
We ate a lot of meals by the pool/barbecue and one item which would have been very useful would have been a tray. I know there is one under the drainer but that was doing an important job already; couldn't see another.
Pool man came regularly and the pool remained clear and clean. Got a bit worried that no one appeared to water plants, not sure how drought tolerant some of them are, so I watered everything at least once, and some things more often. We gardeners can never relax completely!
Hope you enjoy lots more bookings this summer. If Charles reminds me of anything else, I will get back in touch.

We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse in zebbug. The ambience is quiet and peaceful. The private pool served refreshment all day. The house is well situated as much for relaxing days as for adventures all over the island. The bus station for Victoria is just nearby. So it is absolutely no problem to travel by bus. There are "mobile groger's" nearby every morning, which sell really everything you will need. We will recommend this site to everyone who loves to spend some time in Gozo.
We were a party of 5 adults wishing to stay in a traditional Gozitan village close to family who live on the island. The house is perfectly placed on the outskirts of Zebbug and benefited from easterly countryside views over the Xaghra valley, with easy access to the local tourist resort of Marsalforn and a short distance by bus or car to the capital, Victoria. The house oozes old rustic charm, and the original features have been used to full effect - particularly in the magnificent dining room boasting fabulous stone arches and animal feeding troughs, and a large family dining table.
The bedrooms also retain their features and have open ensuite facilities to two main bedrooms. The upper level master bedroom opens out onto the middle terrace with views over the valley and which has steps either up to the top terrace or down to the poolside. Note that the ensuite bathrooms only have a bath and no shower cubicles. A separate shower room is available when needed. The third bedroom has two single beds in it and more suited to children than adults. It is also a cool bedroom whereas the others have ceiling fans to circulate the air.
The living room opens out onto the poolside and picturesque courtyard area which is well planted and cottage like in it's features.
Note that Zebbug is the highest village on the island and is known for being windy. However, the pool area is lovely, sheltered and fairly private with high walls around it. Whilst the pool isn't heated it doesn't take long to adjust to the temperature and enjoy a cool, refreshing swim or area to play for the kids. There is no shortage of sun loungers and a barbecue and outdoor dining table completes the alfresco setting.
It is recommended to hire a car for getting around on the island, and it is easy to take to the road and see the lovely villages and other areas worth visiting. 20 mins is all it takes to get from A to B in the car.
There are several top quality restaurants around the island worth visiting, and we found plenty on our travels. But if you simply want to dine at the house then Ta'Gianmarie has enough facilities to accommodate. Whilst the kitchen is small it is well equipped.
Our hosts, Jeff and Mariella were always available if there were any queries, and happy to act on requests we had.
If you want to experience the rustic charm of a 300 year old farmhouse which has been sympathetically designed throughout then this house is for you.
Beautiful house with lots of space and a large pool.
We had an amazing time at Jeff's awesome House. The house was everything we hoped for and was exactly like in the pictures. The kids totally loved the pool, it was used a lot. The location of the house was perfect. Close to Marsalforn and the ocean on one side and close to Victoria and shops on the other side. We explored the island in our rental car. Jeff has a connection with Mayjo rental and it worked out wonderful. Our taxi was waiting when we arrived and our rental was waiting at the house so we could use it right away. Jeff and Mariella are always just a phone call away if help is needed. The house is fully equiped. It was the perfect place to stay for our family of 6. We will definitely choose Jeff's place again if we go back to Gozo.
We were so pleasantly surprised with the beauty, the character and design of this unique and comfortable farmhouse. We swam and relaxed around the pool area every day and ate outside every evening and didn't feel the need to rush out and explore - although Gozo is definitley worth exploring. We didn't use the dining room at all, which was a shame because this was a gorgeous big room, so I think would be great in winter. The beds were all very comfortable, we found cost blankets in the wardrobes which we did need occasionally, and the towels were lovely and soft. All bathrooms were clean and designed in keeping with the property - very romantic! so many choices to sit and relax, inside and out. The top terrace gave us an amazing view of festa fireworks late into the night. And best of all - the lush hanging gardens on every terrace wall and in every corner.
Had a great holiday farmhouse had everything we needed pool a good size with plenty of outside seating local shop well stocked as well as mobile shops everyday .local pitsa cafe great value with fantastic views. We would definitely stay here again
Zebbug is perched on two adjoining hill tops, and is the highest village above sea level in Gozo. Zebbug enjoys fantastic sea and country views, some would say the best in the whole of the Maltese islands! The village is situated some 3.5km away from Victoria, the capital of Gozo and the nearby popular seaside resort of Marsalforn is just a short distance away.
