We bought this property without a cabin on it years ago and built it from the ground up for our family. Over the years we have improved it by renovating a historic guest cabin that was built during the time of the old west, manicured the landscape and created a game bird farm for hunters to enjoy.
Peggy Drury purchased this lodge in 1998
This property is close to the charming Old West town of Buffalo. The cabin is in a secluded area with plenty of wildlife. It is also close to the Crazy Woman Canyon Rd where we have direct access to the top of the Big Horn Mountains.
The cabin is so cozy and private.
Sitting on the terrace at sunset or in the early morning is incredible with the Crazy Woman Peeks changing from lavender to orange then pink. You can watch the wildlife feed in the fields either sitting on the terrace or in the living room or even from your bedroom! In the summer months the antelope and deer babies are fun to see sticking right by their moms. A pheasant hen may walk right by the cabin with her chicks following. The nights are so dark and stars so clear to view, as there is no light pollution. The loft is a great place to go read or watch tv.
This was a wonderful location for a family gathering. We could explore the Bighorns, go into town in a few minutes, yet be where you could see no other homes. The cabin is furnished with antiques and authentic western memorabilia, amazing artwork and extensive book collection. Not a "cookie cutter" cabin, but an upscale home. Wildlife and birdwatching right from the porch. Everything we needed was there and then some. When the coffeemaker quit working Peggy had it replaced right away. Immaculately clean and comfortable. We would definitely like to stay there again.
The cabin was in an outstanding location and provided us with private time for our family to enjoy a GREAT holiday get together. Peggy was outstanding and very helpful, she was always available via text and willing to work with us in anyway possible to enhance our stay.
Thanks again Peggy...we will be in touch for a return visit in 2017
The cabin was beautiful, the pictures look good online but don't even compare to the actual thing. Peggy was VERY helpful and accommodating to me and my family. We are already talking about coming back next fall, thanks again Peggy anyone looking in this area I would HIGHLY suggest staying here.
Great place cabin is nice view is great Peggy was great. Thank you for everything Ed. E. PS. Thank s for the water 😀
A great place to get away from it all, but still with easy access to the History of the Cowboys at Kaycee and Custers Last Stand at The Little Big Horn Battlefield. The Cabin is located near the Crazy Woman Canyon which is also a 'must see'. We found the Cabin very relaxing including the morning walks along the lanes. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
We had an amazing time! The cabin is great for relaxing and entertaining. Great location, close to town and to the Big Horn Mountains. Thank you for sharing your amazing place with us.
