Just a five minute drive and you are in the heart of the Cavendish Tourist area and Cavendish National Park with seven miles of glorious beaches.

A golfer’s dream, Murphy’s River Vista is within 10 minutes of 4 championship courses; Green Gables, Anderson’s Creek, Eagles Glen and Glasgow Hills. Many more courses are available to play within an hours drive.

I grew up in Stanley Bridge, in this house! My husband and I love coming home to the Island to spend our summers so we purchased and renovated my family home a few years ago. Its a great location to get away from it all and many of our guests comment "it's our Home away form Home". We hope you love it here as much as we do.

Coming from the city, this location provided us with ample space, peace and quiet and yet is close proximity to everything we needed and love to do (especially beach walks and golfing)

This cottage was beautifully renovated with a huge yard and view of the river. It was very clean and well kept. The beds are very comfortable and the dining area is the key feature in this home. Its so nice to all sit together at the table and enjoy the view every morning for breakfast. The cottage is surrounded by trees and is very quite and private which is great for families. Just a cozy feel to this home. It also has all you need for your stay. (Towels, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots and pans, washer/dryer with detergent, dishwasher, t.v etc.) Its close to many attractions like avonlea Village, theme parks, beaches and everything anne of Green Gables. Just a few minutes away are restaurants and a place to purchase fresh seafood. No matter where you are in PEI you will want to drive around, there are so many spectacular views and cute tea shops and stores to see. The home was central to every place we wanted to see and with a newborn baby it was important to not have to drive for too long to get anywhere. The owners Kip and Sheila were so accommodating and answered any questions I had regarding my trip and stay. They even gave me websites of events going on during my stay and suggested places to see. They were easily available by phone if I needed anything and made a follow up call to ensure all was well and if we needed anything else. We went in September so it rained a bit and we had to spend a few afternoons inside, but we still had a wonderful time which says a lot about the home and PEI. In September several businesses close, but the advantage is everything is less expensive, a lot of merchandise is on sale, and all the national parks we went to were free entry (besides anne of Green Gables). I would definitely go back to this cottage no doubt about it!

Excellent stay in Stanley Bridge

We had a fantastic stay in Stanley Bridge at this property with my family (myself, my husband and two year old son, and my parents). It was exactly as advertised; actually, all of us commented that the photos, although lovely, didn't quite do it justice. The living space is even larger and more open than it appears in the photos and was beautiful with huge picture windows so you can take in the view even when not on the patio. It was also very clean and well maintained. Sheila was great to deal with. We arrived on the island late at night and she made herself available to communicate with to make sure we had found the rental location and could access it despite the late hour. She also thoughtfully provided a high chair and pack n' play for our son to use, there was coffee and some other kitchen staples (spices, jam, syrup, etc.) provided which was a nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped and the large dining table was great as well. We used the fire pit one evening (there was even a starter kit of firewood provided) and had a great time. Stanley Bridge is a great location, close to the restaurants and activities of Cavendish and the surrounding area but just far enough away to be able to relax in the evenings and feel like you're getting away from it all. Overall, a lovely stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental or to stay here again in future if we're planning a trip to this part of the island.

Amazing Home Away from Home

Thank you, Sheila, for an outstanding stay in your home away from home. You have thought of everything to include in the house. It is centrally located to so much, and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed every moment of our time on the island.

Thunder Cove was an absolute favourite, as was Basin Head Beach and Avonlea Village is as charming as can be!

We plan to visit again some day! Thanks again!

Location location!!

Great spot as it was close to everything in Cavendish, but also so nice, quiet and peaceful as it was tucked away on a beautiful private property. Very open and spacious layout for entertaining a group. Kitchen was well stocked with needed items for cooking. Firepit area was great!

A home away from home !!

We rented this vacation home for 2 weeks and it was an excellent choice for 7 adults as there was plenty of room and was very comfortable. This vacation home has an excellent location as we were close to golf courses, Cavendish Beach, shopping, restaurants etc. The owners were very gracious and welcoming and I highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone planning a trip to beautiful PEI.

My husband, adult son and I recently stayed at this wonderful house. We loved the location and how quiet the area is. But even more important we loved the house! The pictures are exactly right and you will not be disappointed. We made some beautiful memories here and hosted some extended family for an afternoon and they loved the place as well. We enjoyed a Celidah at the Stanley Bridge Hall, ate at the Oyster Bar and travelled all over the island from this location. The kitchen is well stocked with household items and we were even treated to coffee and jam upon arrival. The owners have done a wonderful job and we really felt at home.

Welcoming Home and Excellent Location

Such precious memories were made while staying in this most comfortable home with its lovely setting. We had a wonderful view of gorgeous sunsets and evening walks. We appreciated that the home was within a short distance to many dining, shopping, and golfing choices. We would highly recommend the New Glasgow Lobster Supper for an excellent evening of PEI seafood. Save room for the all-you-can-eat pies. The nearby Glasgow Hills Golf Course stands out as a must play PEI golf courses. They had an all-you-can-eat mussels in the club house after your round. When entering the house from the driveway a beautiful yard with lots of trees greets you. We would all love to go back! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Just a ten minute drive and you are in the heart of the Cavendish Tourist area and Cavendish National Park with seven miles of glorious beaches or check out the local 'swimming rock' on the left about 1/2 km from the roundabout on route 6 towards Cavendish.

We are located in the heart of Stanley Bridge, just minutes from the Cavendish Tourist Area with local grocery store, small liquor outlet, a bank machine and landermat. there are several great golf choices within 15 min drive at Anderson's Creek (free mussels), Glasgow Hills (free mussels and great restaurant), Green Gables (classic course), and Eagles Glen (Tour course). Hike along the trails in Cavendish National Park or cycle the coastline along the north shore drive. There is plenty of local entertainment as well from the Stanely Bridge Hall to music at Carr's Oyster Bar, Sou'West Grilland Theater at the Harbourfront in Summerside, Watermark in Rustico, Harmony House in Hunter River. Almost every small town has a community hall with entertainment. Some of the family attractions close by include Avonlea Village(Samuels Coffee Shop and other great food choices) , Sandspit and Green Gables. Charlottetown is a 40 minute drive, Summerside is 30 minutes away and Kensington is just 15 minutes. All feature larger grocery stores, medical facilities, banks and shopping.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations 60 days or more prior to the booking date will be refunded 100% less a 5% administration fee.
Cancellations less than 60 days prior to the booking date will ONLY be refunded if we can rent the week(s), in which case the full deposit will be refunded less the 5% admin fee.
Damage Deposit: A damage deposit of $500 is required 10 days prior to check in
Smoking : Guest understands that the rental property is non-smoking and agree to smoke only in outdoor designated smoking areas.
Pets: There is a strict no pet policy in place.
Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons. There is an additional charge or $20.00 per person per night for guests in addition to six (6) people.
