Why Jeff Engelbrecht chose Ahwatukee Foothills Village

Our family has been in the Ahwatukee area since the early 90’s. We knew that as soon as the building started here that Ahwatukee would be the best spot in Phoenix. It is the best/closest neighborhood to downtown and the airport. Fifteen minutes and you are there. However, it is secluded from the city, located in the most beautiful setting in the South Mountain Foothill nature preserve. Just minutes from the hiking trail to the top of South Mountain for the most spectacular view in Phoenix. One of the biggest advantages to our place is that the roadways get you out and moving quickly. Five minutes to the Pecos/202 Freeway or the I-10 Freeway with no congestion.

Group of six enjoyed a very comfortable two and one half week stay in this four bedroom, 2 bathroom house. The house was supplied with necessary supplies, enough for us to host a dinner party for ten. The private back year and patio accommodated us allowing great fun playing games at the patio table. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, very "walkable". The only drawback was when the washing machine did not work but the host picked up our laundry, washed, dried and returned it to us all on the same day. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Nice House in a convenient location

We loved staying in this home with our 2 children. Each child had their own room to sleep comfortably. The home was clean, well stocked, close to the freeway, easy to hop onto to get to your daily activity. We visited the Children's Museum in Phx, Legoland Discovery, the aquarium, parks, eateries and this home was easy access to all that we wanted. There is a grocery store, Trader Joe's and Target nearby which I loved for stocking up while on the road. We enjoyed having a backyard for the kiddos to run and play. When I booked the property there were not any photos of the yard, so I will describe it - it has a nice flagstone sitting area, grill and grass area for the kids to play. Overall great setup for us. My only critique of the property is that the property description says that the property "offers 3 car garaged parking". When we stayed the garage had a trailer and other items being stored in the garage blocking 2 of the 3 parking spots. There was enough room for one vehicle, but not more than one as is offered. We visited when it happened to be chilly in AZ and the homes heater is very loud - I would laugh to myself when it would kick on I would find myself thinking - okay passengers please turn off all electronic devises and remain seated for takeoff - it sounds like being in the rear of a plane. The 1st night since we were in a new place with our very young kids I wanted to sleep with our door open so I could hear them if they cried out or needed me, but quickly learned after the 1st night to keep the bedroom doors shut to help muffle the noise. Regardless, I would stay in this home again. It was very comfortable, convenient and had everything we needed. The owners of this property were very friendly, nice and helpful. They were available to answer any questions we had and I really like talking to them they are good quality, accommodating, friendly people who are offering a nice home to stay in while away from home.
