3 bed, 2 bathroom cottage within village and few minutes walk to beach

Jasmin Cottage is within the 'chocolate box' village of Crantock, with two village pubs, village stores and post office, tea rooms, craft shop and restaurant. Crantock Beach is a 5 minute walk from either the road at the front of the property, or from the back door along a private unmade road leading to the sand dunes. The two village pubs are within about 100 yards of the front garden.

Jasmin Cottage has undergone a complete refurbishment in 2016 and is comfortable, characterful and relaxing inside. On the ground floor there is a lounge with low-beamed ceiling and stunning inglenook with log burner. There is a spacious kitchen, which is extremely well equipped, and a comfortable dining room. Also on the ground floor is a shower room (with WC) which is underfloor heated. Upstairs there are two kingsize bedrooms, one bunk bed room and one bathroom (also under floor heated). One of the Kingsize bedrooms has an additional child's bed option available on request.

Outside, the garden captures plenty of sun, especially the decking over the garage, and has views over the village church and countryside. BBQ facilities are provided. There is parking for two cars at the front of the property. In the garage there is plenty of surfboard storage, wet suit hanging area, table tennis and a large shower - perfect for cleaning off after a long day on the beach.

Linen and bath towels provided.

Strictly no pets and no smoking.

About Catherine Robertson

My husband and I purchased Jasmin Cottage for its idyllic location, cosy feel and relaxing environment. We particularly love the proximity to the beach from the cottage - a couple of minutes walk over the sand dunes from our back door. My husband is a keen surfer which Crantock Beach is ideal for. We love a good cliff top walk and a meal and drink (or two!) in one of the two village pubs, or on the headland.

  • The bedrooms are small but characterful. The bunkbed room is the smallest with just enough room for bunkbeds and a small chest of draws. A travel cot can be provided on request and will just fit in the master bedroom.

Fabulous in every way!

The cottage layout was perfect and so well thought out. Downstairs has a nice airy open plan feel with a great kitchen and cosy lounge. Bedrooms are a decent size with two bathrooms (one up one down). The fixtures, fittings and decor is superb with everything you could possibly need and the garden layout is great with a lovely decked seating area at the front.There is ample parking for two cars at the front and the garage has washing machine. tumble drier, wet suits to use and a shower after a day on the beach! There is also a new table tennis table which we made good use of. The location is wonderful! - Crantock Beach is beautiful and great for kids as there is an estuary with a shallow tidal river where they can play and explore. Surfing is really good in the bay and if you like walking the coastal path is accessed from the beach or from the path that runs at the back of the house. The coastal path in both directions (towards fistral beach and Newquay to the north and towards Perranporth to the south) has some stunning views of the rugged Cornish coastline. Try the CBay cafe about 15 minutes walk along the coastal path to the south or the Cafe the other side of the estuary (ferry boat/ walkway - depending on tide) - both do good food and have some of the best views you will ever see from a cafe! There are two pubs within 200 yards of the cottage - the Albion does really good food but you need to book. The Cornishman is the nearer (by 10 yards!!!) and also does food. The local shop is around 300 yards up the road and has most of the basics and also does pizzas which are very nice (best to pre order). We went on the sea safari from Padstow which was excellent, we also visited Looe (has gone tatty and commercialised since I was last there) but Polperro is well worth a visit and parking was ok. Spent most of the week walking, beachcombing, taking photo's of the amazing coastline and drawing. The owners have done a fantastic job making this the best cottage we have ever stayed in.

Stunning cottage, close to the beach, a perfect holiday home

I hired the cottage for my daughter & her partner for their honeymoon, their wedding was in Crantock. They loved it, it was beautiful inside, with a great outdoor seating area and a table tennis table in the garage for wet days. It is only a five minute walk to the beach, and the coastal footpath. It is furnished with a beautiful attention to detail, warm & cosy on those windy/wet Cornwall days with the log burner and great for relaxing with a large comfy sofa. They found it hard to drag themselves away. We had a slight problem before my daughter & her husband arrived which required speaking to the owner. Catherine was easily available on the phone, most understanding, helpful and generous. All in all a stunning cottage, beautiful position and lovely owners. Thank you Catherine and Will you made it a perfect honeymoon for Rose & Callum.

Jasmine cottage, everything you could wish for in a great location. Our family of 6 had a lovely holiday. The owners had thought of everything, the generous welcome basket was a lovely touch, we would recommend this rental to all.

Just the Job!

We were looking for a cottage with a great beach, local village shop, and a decent pub all within walking distance and Jasmin Cottage does not disappoint.

Perfectly located for everything - we used the car only twice in a fortnight!

The Cottage itself is wonderfully appointed, beautifully clean and the owners have been more than generous in allowing the use of 'beach stuff' for the kids.

We have already booked for 2018!!

Fabulous in every respect.

Jasmin Cottage is a fantastic little find. It has something for everyone. A short walk from the beach, facilities for showering after surfing, a beautiful log burner for cosy evenings and well put together and cared for accommodation. The cottage facilities were excellent and Catherine and Will couldn't have been more helpful. Perfect for romantic getaways or a family holiday...we were 2 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for all. The retro board games are a lovely touch and were enjoyed by all ages! The outside decking was a fantastic little sun trap and the garden lovely and sheltered. A beautiful retreat in a stunning part of the world. Would highly recommend it.

Tenants are responsible for any damage caused to the cottage. A security deposit of £250 is payable - refunded after check out inspection.
