Overview

About the property

A beautiful, comfortable and well equipped apartment, in a very silent way

This beautiful apartment is located in an oasis of peace and tranquility, close to the historic center and close to the characteristic neighborhood of Trastevere with its folklore and its nightlife.

It consists of a large fully equipped kitchen (fridge with freezer, hob with 4 burners, electric oven with grill, washing machine, toaster), a living room with extra-thin TV and sofa bed for two people, two bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with a french-bed and bunk beds. Two bathrooms: one with shower and double sink, the other with tub with shower. Air conditioning (not included in rental price), wireless Internet access no-limits. On request we can provide (for free) a baby bed with rails.

The price includes: central heating, electricity consumption, check-in and initial and final cleaning.

- Linen is not included in the price, you can bring it you, or we can supply it to us. In the latter case, the price is: Sheets and pillowcases + pair of towels (bath towel + face towel) 6 euro per person. Normally, the linen are changed once a week, but if you want another change during your stay we can do it, just indicate if you want a complete change or just the towels (in which case the price is 3 euro per person).

- Touristic tax: 3,5 euro/day per person (children less than 10 years old excluded).

The apartment is located in the basement (but facing south, so very bright) of a villa of the early '900 in a small street composed entirely of villas each with its own garden. The silence and tranquility are therefore insured.

At the same time, the area is very central and the apartment is very convenient and well-connected. The windows overlook the garden where there is also a space reserved for guests with table and chairs for eating outdoors (a very nice feature to relax when you are on vacation). The apartment has just been renovated (2016) so all facilities and furnishings are new. Upon request you can reserve a parking space (closed with electric gate) Places are limited.

About danila corinti

Hi, I'm Danila, as a person I’m dynamic (sometimes even too much), I love children, animals, gardening (if you decide to book your vacations with us you’ll see!), I love traveling and I love this job!

I like to meet people, to talk to them, and sometimes, why not, keep in touch! It is truly fulfilling when, after spending a vacation in one of our places, people get back to me and let me know that they have had a good time!

I can not always meet my guests in person (I divide my time between Rome and Tuscany, where we have a farm), but I personally answer to their questions, take care of their request and organize their sojourn. I’m glad when people decide to spend their vacation in our beautiful country, that I love so much, and I try to help them making the best of it!

danila corinti purchased this apartment in 1994

Why danila corinti chose Monte Verde

This villa has belonged to our family from a long time. This is a part of Rome where still live the "Romans", a beautiful residential area, quiet and 'true". In 2016 we completely renovated the villa and we have obtained this independent apartment where our guests can enjoy a holiday in the green and quiet a few steps from animation and folklore of Trastevere. It is designed and furnished like a real home, with all the amenities and with all the comfort our guests can need.

What makes this apartment unique

Rome is among the most beautiful cities in the world (I would say the most beautiful, but it is my home, so I am a little partial!!).

However, it is a large city, with millions of people and, like every large city, it has its problems; noise traffic and pollution are unfortunately a major issue, and you have to be a little careful with your purse, in some areas.

Our district, however, is completely different, and that is why we love it so much. It lays on a small hill, close to the center, but, being exclusively a residential area, mainly made of detached houses, it is noise and pollution free, and it is very safe. When you get here it feels like you stepped in a village inside the city. We all know our neighbors here and stroll around in perfect safety night and day. It is also a very green area, there are two beautiful parks and many houses have their garden, so in spring you can hear the birds twitting and, when the trees are in blossom, a wonderful smell of flowers fills the air.

Could have been better and more welcoming.

  • 2 of 5

Could have been better. I stayed at three different locations and this was the priciest and the least impressive. We had to pay for the sheets and towels and the tourist rate was higher than required by law. The couch was very old and we used bed covers to cover it because it felt very dirty. It was close to the Tram which brings you to many attractions which was good and the basement villa was enclosed and had a nice patio.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry to know that these guests have not been completely satisfied, we always do our best for our guests, but we respect everyone's opinion. I would just like to clarify two points: by first the one concerning linen and towels. We try to offer the best conditions to our guests, so, we prefer to offer a lower rental-price. Than they’ll can decide if to pay something more (anyway, just the price of the laundry) or to bring linen and towels from their home. We decided to do it to permit to our guests to save some money and, anyway it specified in the description of the apartment ON THE ADVERTISING so, they know it BEFORE to book the apartment. The second point is the one concerning the tourist tax: Tourist tax is a contribution that the Municipality of Rome asks to all tourists. You have to pay for it whether you go to a holiday home, in a bed and breakfast or a hotel. Anyway, it is not always the same, it is different from a kind of accomodation to another (I mean: hotel, B&B, apartment...) we ask exactly the price we must pay to the Municipality of Rome as "house for holiday": 3,5 euro/day per persn. Everybody can check on the internet by typing "tourist accomodation tax rome" on the web site "Roma Capitale".

A few touch ups and would be perfect

  • 3 of 5

I rented this apartment over Thanksgiving weekend 2017 for eight of us with four children. Location is great ....it is very residental. The house ed comfort able for eight and included all The necessities. I would have liked a few guidelines like how to lower The heat. It was hot in There. The sofa bed and The full Size bed were quite beaten down. We slept fine but more for exhaustion than comfort.

Beautiful property and location

  • 4 of 5

Everybody was very nice and helpful during our stay, if I had anything critical things it would be the air flow within the apartment was lacking and the French bed was very creeky made lots of noise when moving on it. The construction would have been nice to know it was going on before booking. However it was a great price and location.

Gorgeous setting outside

  • 3 of 5

What an incredible garden and outside area. The grounds are well-kept and beautiful. My family of 6 stayed for three days. While the accommodations were clean and the hosts were very friendly the location is very residential and a slight walk downhillhill to the tram. The unit we stayed in was under and next to other units which allowed us to hear the other guests noises and I am sure that they heard us as well. I believe that since the unit was underground the dampness and smell of mold triggered my children's allergies. Overall if you're looking for a residential experience with gorgeous outside sitting areas this is the place for you.

Close to transportation, safe, quiet, excellent air conditioning, hosts waiting for us upon arrival!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful apartment! We are a family of 5- with two teenage girls and an eight year old. We stayed in the apartment for three nights after a week long trip to Tuscany. Walking to the number 8 tram from the apartment was easy - about 3 blocks and within 20 minutes you are in the heart of Rome. The apartment is clean, had towels, a washing machine and a stove to make breakfast. Really everything we needed for a short four day stay. This was our first trip to Rome. I have to admit first impression getting off the train I was surprised by the amount of grafitti and the state of apartments near station. However, as soon as you climb the steps and go around the corner the apartments are well kept. We also liked the garden area outside the apartment. We would definitely consider staying here again for the price, the attention we received from our hosts, the access to the train station among many other reasons! Highly recommend for families traveling in Rome. Only downside is it's not within walking distance to colosseum or Vatican but that could be a plus as its quieter, you have more room and it's close to the train station when you need to leave for Rome airport and with the tram number 8 getting into central Rome is easy.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for a great week! We loved the location and easy access to public transportation all week. The apartment was perfect for our group of six and allowed us to have a home base while we explored Rome and Italy. Thanks again!

This beautiful apartment with garden is located in the basement (anyway full of light and airy) of a liberty villa builded at the beginning of the last century, and it is ideal for spending a holiday in an extremely quiet area. Quiet, safe and, at the same time, close to the heart button of Rome: Tastevere district, with its 'Movida'. You can rest in peace, enjoy the silence and greenery surrounding the building and easily reach, in few minutes, all the centers of interest of the capital. At 700 meters there is the heart of Trastevere, at 250 meters the Sunday market of Porta Portese. The apartment is also just 250 meters far from Trastevere Station, the terminal from / to Fiumicino airport and urban connection with St Peter's Basilica (less than 5 minutes by train).

Last but not least, 300 meters far from the villa there is the Light-Metro n. 8: a "light rail" is a line that runs on rails and has its own dedicated lane where the cars cannot go, for this reason it is very fast, and runs every 3 or 4 minutes, day and night (it is the only subway line to do service until two in the night).

The light-metro n. 8 will bring you in a few minutes:

1) At Piazza Sonnino (from where you'll can have a walk through the streets of Trastevere)

2) At Largo Argentina (from where you'll can walk to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori)

3) At Piazza Venezia, in the city center (from where you'll can walk in a few minutes: till the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the Capitol and the Ara Coeli, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain or go shopping in the streets of the "Trident")

If you prefer the bus, no. 75 (the stop is in via Poerio, a few meters from the villa) takes you into the heart of the old Trastevere and then, the Cestia Pyramid, the Coliseum, and finally to Termini Station.

Reach the villa coming from 'Fiumicino Airport is extremely simple, just take the train that connects the airport to the city and get off at the Trastevere station, the villa is just a few hundred meters from the station. Similarly, arriving by train in Tremini, you should take the urban connection with Trastevere and then proceed as indicated above.

Shops, restaurants and pubs are within walking distance, the same goes for banks, internet-point, hospital, post office or other.

Upon your arrival we will be happy to provide you all the information you need.Upon your arrival we will be happy to provide all the information you need and help you to enjoy your stay in the Eternal City.
