Quiet, great location to explore Pembrokeshire's beaches, countryside and city

About Jon Bray & Karen Hearn
A pair of food loving, dog loving, outdoor living, Pembrokeshire lovers. We moved here from London in 2002 and have never regretted it for a moment. Living in Pembrokeshire means for us walks on the beach, exploring the countryside, living more sustainably, harvesting our own fruit and veg, looking after our animals (currently 6 chickens, 2 geese and a chocolate lab) and generally enjoying a slower pace of life. We have planted up 6 acres of native broadleaf woodland and find it extremely satisfying when birds migrating all the way from Africa see fit to nest in our little patch.
Jon Bray & Karen Hearn purchased this Barn in 2002
Why Jon Bray & Karen Hearn chose Haverfordwest
We fell in love the moment we drove in through the gate. Far enough off the beaten track, yet with good neighbours and located centrally in Pembrokeshire so that everything the county offers – beaches, cliffs, woods, hills, rivers and valleys – is within easy reach. We’ve spent over ten years slowly renovating our house, the Grange – Ty Lloi (The Calf House) was completed far quicker although still in a manner true to our ideals, using local craftsmen and an architect who shared our vision of preserving the original nature of the building, whilst maximising passive solar gain, introducing high levels of insulation and utilising natural materials.

What a real treasure
Words do not do this place or its owners justice. Superb, warm and friendly, helpful, excellent food. Above and beyond our expectations.
A beautiful modern barn with everything you could possibly need.
We have just enjoyed a lovely short break here and it really was perfect.
The barn was very clean, modern and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and just like home.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and cooked us a lovely supper the first night we arrived ( the rubarb crumble was amazing)
It was very peaceful and incredibly dark at night which all helped to the best sleep we have both had in a long time.
The area was very unspoilt and the beaches were very clean and most were dog friendly.
Would highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere away from the tourist trail that's peaceful and quiet and exceptionally beautiful.
Absolutely perfect to get away from it all
What an amazing holiday! Both Karen and Jon where great hosts. The Barn was a home away from home and immaculately clean. Better than the pictures.Would not hesitate to recommend. Perfect home away from home. The owners have thought of everything and the barn is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The welcome milk, eggs and flapjacks where a unexpected bonus and delicious. Karen and Jon used to run a local restaurant and offer dinners in for 2 or a 3 course dinner served to you in the barn. I would highly recommend treating yourselves. Will definitely be back soon. Very impressive in all aspects. A++++
