A cozy little cottage with nice amenities. It's close to the beach, and downtown Vermilion. You can walk to Showse Park in a couple of minutes, and Main Street Beach is about 10 minutes away by car. Cedar point is 1/2 hour away, and Cleveland is only 45 minutes. Oberlin College is 20 minutes away. It has linens, pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker. A full size fridge and stove. Large yard, backyard deck and fire pit. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the second bedroom has two twins. TV and DVD player. We have wifi and basic cable. If you're looking for affordably simple, this is it!
A quiet cottage.

I have lived in the Vermilion area my whole life. I love to garden, cook and paint. We have loved getting to know our guests when they come to visit. We are just moments away if you need anything or have any questions during your stay.
Drema purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Drema chose Vermilion
It is on a quiet street, close to the lake. The yard is very large, which gives a feel of privacy. It is warm in the winter, and cool in the summer, and we are very attentive to our guests needs. Centrally located in a small town, but close to all of the attractions of Cleveland, and Sandusky.

Price is more than fair. Place is clean and well kept. Block away from the lake and a park. Would stay there again...
Great little get away
Second time here. This time with the girls, making Chrismas crafts, and enjoying some wine time..we will be back!!
Quiet Neighborhood and Very Well Maintained Cottage
We had a great experience. Home is decorated with beautiful artwork and was very functional for us while visiting our daughter at Oberlin.
Wonderful place to stay
A wonderful place to stay--comfy, cozy and clean. Nice porch and backyard deck. TV had many channels to choose from. Mattresses good to sleep on. Pet friendly. Drema herself easy to work with and accommodating; she even dropped by to put the trash at the curb and returned later in the day to get the empty cans from the curb. Proximity to Lake Erie a real plus--breathtaking. A caution: entering and getting out of the tub/shower can be precarious for seniors--the tub is well above the floor and there are no grab bars. Dining in the area no great shakes. Papa Joe's pizza decent for take out and their dessert pies are to die for. At the other extreme, avoid Vermilion Country Club like the plague. It's a disgusting dive, with drunks at the bar frequently screaming "Build the wall" at the top of their lungs.
Thanks so much for choosing our cottage, and for your review. I appreciate hearing what visitors liked, and how I can improve. I have tried to add a grab bar in the bathroom a few times. The cottage is a vintage model, has some quirky construction details, and some people think it adds to the charm:), others prefer a more standard style. I have tried to add the grab bar, but the wall studs are such that I can't get it to attach. which creates a safety hazard of its own. The last one was a suction type, and it kept coming loose. That being said, I went to Lowe's yesterday and bought another grab bar, along with a stud finder. Wish me luck! Hopefully if you decide to visit again, a grab bar will be in place.
For a restaurants, let me recommend Chez Francois, a lovely romantic French Dining experience. They also have a lovely Wine Bar at street level, Touche, and The Wine Vault is another upscale restaurant. In Amherst, an 8 minute drive from Vermilion, Cork Tree is a good suggestion. Going farther afield, in Lakewood, we have Lola's, a popular restaurant owned by well known Chef, Michael Simon, and at Crocker Park in Westlake, there are many gourmet options. By visiting their websites, you will be able to get an idea of what's in store for your dining pleasure.
Thanks so much for staying!
Very nice place. Well worth the money. Was decorated to fit the area. The kitchen was well stocked as well as the other rooms. We enjoyed out time there. Wish we could of stayed longer. Will spread the news to family and friends that this is a nice place to stay. if we are in the area again, will say there. Thanks for making this an enjoyable weekend.
Property was exactly as described. Nice comfortable clean well decorated cottage
My husband and I rented this cottage for the weekend. It is as described with all of the necessary amenities. The owner, Drema called to make sure we were cozy as the weather was much cooler than we anticipated. She also called us with some nice suggestions as to what to do at night in Vermillion. This place could easily accommodate at least four people comfortably. It is also quite a bargain!
We are about 45 minutes from downtown Cleveland, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland State University. Oberlin College is about 20 minutes south of us. Cedar Point is about 1/2 hour away. The town of Vermilion has a lighthouse, and a quaint downtown area.
