Why Larry and Donna Reid chose Tahoe Valley
We retired and moved to Lake Tahoe and the cabin was too small for us to live in full tlime. We also use it for visiting family and friends.

The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful tall trees. It's close to many attractions and activites. The house and yard were very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had an excellent experience. Clean and comfortable cabin. Our first VRBO experience and would definitely do it again. Lots of road construction in the neighbor hood but overall easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again.
Sweet, comfortable and incredibly convenient location for South Lake Tahoe and surrounding day trips
Our family of 3, with one day of a visit from 2 friends, enjoyed a week's stay at the Reid's cabin. The house comfortably furnished, with lots of comfy chairs, tables, and couches efficiently placed for relaxing. We especially appreciated the remodeled bathroom and great water pressure!
Our lodging criteria for our Tahoe stay was an affordable, comfortable abode with proximity to trails and lakes for day trips, so this location was perfect for us. It was also great to be located right near a Raley's, a Big 5, and Big K, and near "the Y", so it was super easy to venture out to our day trips toward Highway 89, Highway 50 and back and forth down Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
Larry and Donna were very available to us and suggested a great hike to the top of Cave Rock, a short hike with spectacular views! We had been around the lake many times before but never thought to make this fun little side trip a priority. Thank you Larry and Donna!
The house is in a lake-level, older, established neighborhood of South Lake Tahoe with pretty much only year round residents versus a vacation destination feel, which was quite perfect for our sensibilities. You can definitely ride a bike to beaches, ie. Camp Richardson, etc., and there is a bike, kayak, etc., rental store within a 2 block walk from the house, so it is easy to get around town on bicycle.
We would definitely stay here again and wish the Reids all the best.
Gratefully yours, Millicent, Jim and Lucas Chaney
Perfect For Family
Cute, rustic cottage...great for families. Very close and convenient to everything. Check-in was super easy and Donna and Larry were very responsive and great hosts. The place was extremely clean and the new bathroom was super nice. We only slept in the king bed in the attic and we found that pretty comfortable. As someone else stated, the pots and pans were dated but really, no big deal. The tea kettle does need to be replaced as there is rust inside of it. I found out after I had used it, unfortunately. Some notes around the house were a bit confusing and also, there was a conflict of the check out time on the VRBO website. In one spot it says 10:00 but in the check out instructions, on the website, it states 11:00. We left before 10 to play it safe.
All in all, was a great place to stay for those on a budget.
My family had a wonderful time in South Lake Tahoe and the cabin was just right for us for a family of six. Why I didn’t give a 5 star rating coz the attic room was a bit warm for my kids who slept there since we were there for our summer vacation. But Larry was there to help us solve the issue but I guess the place need a better A/C for the attic but other than that our whole experience was awesome.
Cute rental, perfect for our stay.
