About Vacasa, CA - Northern California Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Arabesque is a lovely property that needs some TLC at the moment. Especially needed are replacement blinds in the Bedroom (they are literally falling off!) and new furniture in the Family Room. The Futon and chair in this room should go straight to the dump. The garbage cupboard in the kitchen needs some repair as well.

The bones of the house are good, the master bathroom is a work of art and the rest of the house is pretty nice. The views of the ocean and white water are a treat and the beach is walking distance.

This is a big house and was plenty of room for my guests. However there is a clause in the rental agreement that says ONLY people actually staying at the house can be there, so if you want company you are out of luck. The group I was with included people staying at other houses, b&b's or hotels and we wanted to have some people over for a bbq and to enjoy the pool table, play bocce, etc. and the Rental Company threatened to throw us out if we had people other than those actually staying at the house there. I will never rent through this company again.

If you choose this house, make sure you get everything in writing and keep the contract handy.

Owner's Response: Due to the number of additional guests this guest wanted to bring into the home we were unable to accommodate this request. This homeowner has a strict occupancy, including day use, for several reasons. This includes the wear and tear on home and the difficulty with knowing when and if day use guests have left. Neighboring homes are not appreciative of large parties and maintaining these relationships are important to us in order to keep our homes available for guest use. We were sorry we could not accommodate this guests birthday party and spent several hours of research on their behalf to find an acceptable alternative location. The owner has been made aware of the need for furniture updates, cupboard repair, and new blinds.

Nice Home and Location

 • 4 of 5

Good location with a very nice house and property. Lots of wildlife in the area. Beds were good for up to six people, but beyond that the comfort level diminishes.

Nice place

 • 4 of 5

There are some maintenance issues and some neighbor issues, but a pretty nice place to stay. Location can't be beat.

This is a lovely property on a beautiful setting. The location is fabulous.

 • 4 of 5

We were in town for a family reunion and had rented multiple houses in the neighborhood. For the most part our stay was great. The property itself, while lovely, is starting to show its wear though. Just small things here and there like floor tile being loose, cabinets scraped and scratched, other floors just worn. Other essential items were missing such as a broom and vacuum cleaner. We were there for 5 days and had no way to clean up after ourselves other than an old mop and a few paper towels.

There were a couple issues with the beds.

The master suite bed is a bit hard and springy, but nothing a mattress topper couldn't fix. The hide-a-bed was another story. Simply a piece of foam over the springs and bars. My teenager couldn't sleep on it without the couch cushions underneath the foam. Also, there were not enough extra sheets and blankets for this and the futon. The teenagers in our group did not want to share beds so this was a bit tricky. Otherwise the kitchen is fully stocked and the pool table and hot tub are nice amenities. (The pictures show a ping pong table, but that was not present.) You do need to watch the noise level outside (it was early evening and we were not that loud) and any visitors or the neighbors will call you in without soeaking to you directly. As mentioned before, we had rented multiple houses close to each other (not all thru vrbo) and were back and forth between them for meals, birthday celebrations, etc. and we got a nasty gram saying we were reported as having too many people in the house and too many cars in the driveway (The note stated 4 cars were allowed while our confirmation said 6). This put a little damper on our gathering, but we just spent more time at the other houses even though this was the bigger one. All around it is a nice place in a great location and we might consider returning again if we were in the area and needed a large home to accommodate a bigger group.

Gorgeous location - spacious home

 • 4 of 5

The house is in a superb location! Gorgeous ocean views... within walking distance of Caspar beach and the Point Cabrillo lighthouse. A 10-minute drive to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Lots to do within a close distance!

The house was very spacious, with plenty of room for our large group (8 adults & a baby). We enjoyed sitting on the front patio with a beautiful ocean view, watching deer graze across the road, and listening to the sea lions bark in the distance. Very relaxing and peaceful!

The pool table provided lots of entertainment. WiFi was fast too.

Kitchen was large and big enough to cook family meals, with all necessary amenities. Only complaint was that it could have been cleaner.

Bedrooms were comfortable with good sized beds. 3 full bathrooms was a definite plus!

We would stay here again and recommend it for larger groups and families. The location can't be beat!
