Week Stay in Seacrest

  • 2 of 5

Unit Pros:

Property location was great. Close to the beach, nice to walk up and down stairs to beach and condo. Property was quiet. Pool was well kept. Price for room was fair. Furniture was nice. Wall decor was nice. Unit was clean. A/C worked well. Room was ready early. Plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Water pressure good. Good Parking. Appliances all worked well.

Unit Cons:

Like others have said, when we walked in the kitchen/living area there was a strong mold/musty smell. We went and bought candle and plug in to tolerate it. The unit needs remodeling. As others said, paint peeling in bathroom. Counter tops are way outdated and no backsplash on wall. Unit needs more rugs on tile areas. There are no movies, books or games in the unit. Tv's are way too small especially in the living area. Left side sliding door very difficult to open close. Door tracks and screens are dirty.

During the stay they were doing remodeling outside next door. Workers kept coming in our yard (there is no fence) there was not privacy to hang out on your porch or leave curtains open without them staring in at you. This was disappointing. I realize you cannot control this but do feel it should be disclosed in case renter decides not to rent because of that. Also there was a little bit of noise because of the tools used.

Very Lovely Beachside condo

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased when we arrived. This condo was exactly what we were looking for. It was very, very clean, nicely decorated and a very good size. It had a comfortable king bed, decent size bedroom and bath. They even left us a nice little welcome package with some things we might need and a couple of cookies. It has a beautiful view of the beach although I don’t guess I realized it was on a pretty high hill. It wasn’t a big problem for us, even though we are late 60’s, but those 52 stairs (my husband counted as he was huffing and puffing to get to the top) might be a problem for some. We need the exercise, so it was good for us. Two little negatives, not all that important, but I like to sleep in a dark room. The apartment next to us kept their porch light on every night and even with the blinds closed it did nothing to darken the room. Maybe some blackout curtains and also the sliding door needs some help. The track needs cleaning (the only place in that apartment with any dirt to be found) and maybe a little grease on the slider. It was very hard to open. Like I said those were very minor problems. We would rebook anytime we were back that way, I highly recommend this lovely place.

Unreal Views!

  • 5 of 5

Very quaint and comfortable condo with views that I'm still in awe about. The condo itself is an older building that has been very well maintained. The pool is very clean and feels updated. The condo has a very comfortable king size bed and the living room furnishings are by no means old but not newer either. They are comfortable but if I had one con it would be to update the furnishings. That could turn this cute unit into a showpiece. The unit was very clean and comfortable, but could use some updating. Other than that, sitting on the covered patio or out in the manicured lawn gave us breathtaking views. This area on 30A sits up a little higher than most that I've visited which made the views that much better. Loved it

Amazing location, but could use some updating though

  • 4 of 5

This unit is in an amazing location. Right on the water, a short bike ride to Rosemary, and a short car ride to Seaside. My husband and I were here on our Babymoon, and the close proximity to the beach was great. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room, but the unit could definitely use some updating. And it’s really little stuff. Like getting rid of the rust covered shower curtain rod and replacing it. Or the peeling paint in the bathroom. Also the unit provides an oscillating fan (awesome), however it was covered in dust (boo), so we didn’t use it. Again, all little things. We would totally stay in the unit again, we just think updating and maintaining the unit a little better would elevate our experience that much more.

disappointed

  • 1 of 5

Upon arriving we were super excited about the awesome location. Our vacation dream quickly crumbled as we walked in the condo and nearly gagged with the musty and (mildew or mold?) smell permeating the residence. My husband's sinuses started acting up almost immediately and this was terrible because he was planning to do some work each day in the condo before joining us on the beach. I knew it was going to be hard for him and all of us to relax inside the condo. I immediately called Dawn who said she had "gotten used to the smell?" and assured me that all the old condos on the beach smell this way. We have stayed in otherolder beach condos and have never had this experience. She offered to have a maintenance man come and spray something to help, however he never came. I asked that we please be moved to a new place and she said that wasn't possible because all their properties were booked. Fair enough, so I asked that they agree to refund us so that we could leave and find a new place. At this point only a few cheaper hotels had vacancies but we would have rather stayed anywhere else because the air quality was so scary inside this unit. Disappointed and frustrated beyond words, we stayed at the condo. Each morning we all felt allergy like symptoms from dull headaches, stuffy noses and irritated throats. I continued to try to reach out to Dawn for a solution, who said she would look for another place for us and bring some "Damp Rid" by. Both of which never happened! We paid premium rates for this condo and were sorely disappointed. We tried to spend as much time OUTSIDE of this unit to avoid the air inside. What a bummer to save all year, pick a property in a very nice area, purchase plane tickets, and then have to endure this terrible (moldy/mildew?) smell coming from the HVAC ducts. We honestly felt so ripped off and were give no real solution. The property is in such a prime spot and has such magnificent views! Other than the overwhelming musty smell, we would have been very happy.

The air quality of this unit ruined our vacation and I write this review to let others know who are looking at this property and may be sensitive to air quality. I really wish I had known in advance and I would not have put my family through this.

Owner's Response: Amanda- I'm so sorry you experienced issues during your stay this past summer. The AC ducts in this unit received a thorough cleaning during the fall off season during it's annual deep clean. We truly apologize you had to experience any discomfort at all. Please contact us in the future and we will take care of you. Thank you
