Huge 3-Story 3500 sq ft House on the Sand

Great beach house for large groups, sleeping 11 people in beds! Expansive decks for outside entertainment and right on the sand of Treasure Island Beach. This home is off of Gulf Blvd nestled among whispering Australian Pines that provide shelter from the hot Florida sun and make a delightful whisper as the warm Gulf breezes blow through their fragrant needles. The spacious Master Suite, which is located on the third floor of the house and has a private balcony, has a king-sized bed. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one with twin beds and the other with a queen. There is also a huge game room area with a full bath that has both twin beds and a bunk bed with double futon and twin top bunk.

This is an ideal place for family reunions, perfect for making memories to last a lifetime! Within walking distance to many great beach bar and grills, as well as several fine dining opportunities - you can make do without a car. Local free beach ride services operate for tips only or you can catch the trolley one block away on Gulf Blvd. The trolley will take you from the northern tip of Clearwater Beach to the southern tip of Pass-A-Grille Beach and even east to downtown St Petersburg, home to the MLB Tampa Bay Rays, the Dali Museum, the only permanent Dale Chilhuly exhibit and many fine dining and shopping experiences. Closer to home, John's Pass Village, with a host of entertainment options including Bubba Gump, The Friendly Fisherman, The Hut and Scully's, is a comfortable walk over the Madeira Beach Bridge. There is so much to do for all ages and interests: golf, water sports, antiquing, museums galore, professional sports franchises - including baseball, football and hockey, as well as Spring Training for a host of famous teams. The location of the house is awesome. We had 12 people staying and the young adults loved the lower level. The outside decks with plenty of seating worked out great for our meals and socializing!

Great house and perfect location

This home was perfect for our family gathering. It had everything we needed and then some. The location was great as we could walk to many of the area restaurants and shops, some of the teenagers even ventured over to John's Pass. although not a brand new remodeled home the house was comfortable and had all of the creature comfort's we could ask for. We can't wait to return next year for the kids fall break. Thank you for great customer service!

The property location can't be beat. Great views. House condition is not pleasant however.

Let me start by saying the location of this place is amazing. On the water, Great views. Private yet close to everything. However, the house has basic maintenance needs and for the daily rate, it is not acceptable that they aren't being addressed. I'm not talking about decor and fancy upgrade type changes. Rather, basic house functions, cleanliness and safety. There was mold in the living room ceiling by the kitchen wall and what looked like a very large wet ceiling patch (3x2 feet) in the first floor (basement) sleeping/recreation room area ceiling. All the tubs were peeling and shower heads clogged so water barely came out. The mattresses in 3 of the beds were majorly uneven with 1 being so lopsided it wasn't usable. The outside wood deck has nails sticking out and is splintering such that it isn't safe to walk on barefoot. When we arrived the trash bins (outside) were heaped over with trash. Given the high daily and weekly price plus the hefty cleaning fee, basic maintenance is the least renters should expect. If it wasn't for the amazing location (and it is amazing) I would rate 1 star.

Also new kitchen and beach items, as well as new linens have been placed in the home. Again we thank you for your feedback and would love to have you stay with us again!

Property Needs Updated

I location was fabulous! The house itself needed some work and I realize with having so much space that can house many people some things get overlooked. The house didn't feel clean when we walked in, there were things that were not clear. The trash was piled high when we got there, check in was Saturday and the both bins were overflowing, the house had a smell to it that we brought home with us in our suitcases, I didn't notice it until we got home. We didn't feel there were enough towels and laundry was an issue b/c we didn't know that we couldn't leave but two loads and it was much more than that with just the towels. Two things that need to be mentioned was that we need to bring laundry detergent and trash bags, a large trash can in the kitchen would of been helpful, as our bags we larger and could fit more but we were continually filling and take the trash out. Trash did not get picked up when you said it would so we had a lot of unsightly trash overflowing the bins outside.

Owner's Response: Hello Anonymous, I am sorry you feel the house was not clean as we did not hear one thing from you during your entire stay.We pride ourselves in making our guests feel comfortable and if you would have called us, we would have provided more towels, a larger trash can and had the house recleaned if necessary. As far as you brining home a smell from the house, this is the first I have ever heard of anything like that happening to anyone staying in any rental. Trash in the bins outside is something that we cannot control, this house is rented every week and after the cleaning crew cleans, the bins outside by the road will have trash. The trash days are outlined in your welcome letter with instructions to take it to the road for pickup. Next time if you have issues with a rental please let the property manager know so they can address the issues and get them fixed for you as we would have done immediately. Paul

Great location and nice indoor space

We enjoyed the location, as well as the indoor and outdoor space. While the home is a bit rough around the edges, that in no way hindered our vacation. The downstairs is perfect for young kids to set up their camp. I would rent this house again.

Wonderful vacation home, amazing location!

We stayed here for a week with extended family (6 adults, 3 children). The first floor was paradise to 3 boys (ages 6, 6, & 8), with a large room for playing games and their own bathroom. Plus, they love rotating beds each nice, having the big room to themselves. We ate dinner at the house every night, and the kitchen was great. Large enough to have multiple people making dinner at night. We never even used the table in the kitchen, and ate most meals outside or in the great room. Our favorite thing about the house was the beach access - a very short walk to gorgeous soft sand! The texture of the sand was incredibly important to us when choosing a place to stay, and this was that perfect, soft sand you dream of walking in. The house is huge, with plenty of space for a large party. As previously mentioned, there are a lot of stairs; definitely got our workout in going from the first floor where the kids were to the master bedroom on the 3rd floor!

The only reason this house isn't marked 5-stars is because it can use some updates, and there were a number of things that we emailed to the rental agency (who was very responsive in replying!). This includes at least half of the deck chairs being broken, the sliding screen door out to the master balcony being ripped, missing stair spindles, and all of the bathroom rugs were SOAKING wet when we arrived (they had been washed after the previous people had departed, but no time to dry). These are just a few of the little things that really add up. Like I said, management was responsive, and these weren't things that I wanted or expected to be corrected while we were there, but I hope they are things they are working to correct for future travelers.

Those issues aside, we loved our stay and the house. We never felt on top of each other, and sincerely hope to return again in the future.
