Hibiscus is a great Villa Rental with garden scenes within the beautiful Long Bay Estate in the British Virgin Islands. It has a spectacular vista over Long Bay Beach, its mile-long sandy shoreline just beckons you. The view takes in the neighbouring islands of Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay, Green Cay and is just a couple of minutes’ walk to Long Bay Beach. Hibiscus is part of a group of villas that form part of the Long Bay Estate and its beautiful meandering colourful gardens.

This 2 bedroom villa is set over 2 levels , with luxury rattan furnishings for you to appreciate and unwind in. Throughout the villa you will see gorgeous tropical colours which blend well with the fabulous picture perfect views. One of the best places in the villa, is the lovely outside alfresco dining area with dip pool set in tropical gardens to relax in during your vacation. A great place to enjoy a family BBQ, watch the lights come up in Long Bay Village or perhaps take a sip of a Rum Punch or two!

The bedrooms are fully air-conditioned with their own private balconies, closet areas and spacious bathrooms. Hibiscus is interconnected by a central stair case, each floor has its own internal private and lockable entrance.

The Penthouse( extra charge applies) has views over the gardens and out to Long Bay Beach. With a king size bed giving you plenty of room to spread out, rest and listen to the sounds of the tranquil ocean. There is seating areas either inside or out on the private balcony. Within the bedroom suite there is a well-designed high vaulted ceiling which creates a superb space! There is a Kitchen in this suite if you want to eat in. The outdoor balcony has a table and chairs for you to enjoy a cocktail, a late supper or just watch the sun go down with someone special.

The main deck features a kitchen, outdoor dining area, with BBQ and dip pool. This level is open plan, you can enjoy cooking, socialising with family or friends. There is a large set of sliding doors which opens out onto the deck, so, sit back and dine or simply take in the view! Parking is right next to the villa, no long walks with your luggage or shopping!

Long Bay Beach is just a hop skip and jump away with its wonderful views and pure white sandy beach for you to enjoy. Pelicans fish all day long, why not watch them for an hour or so! The mile long beach is a great place to walk, sit, read a book or just chill out under a palm tree!

Tortola has many excellent restaurants dotted around the island and there are 2 within walking distance of Hibiscus. On Tortola you can sail, scuba dive, take a variety of day trips either by boat or ferry to other British Virgin Islands. Surfing is awesome at Apple Bay Beach and fantastic snorkelling can be found at Smuggler’s Cove, which is in the next bay.

Amazing Views

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th Anniversary. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The pool could be heated if we wanted which was nice for relaxing at night. It is a great location. We could walk to the beach where there were 2 bar/restaurants, yet it felt very private when we were sitting on the deck. Would stay here again.

Gorgeous view and beach

This was a return visit to Long Bay for us, the first in this villa. Even though we were familiar with the area, the directions to the villa were vague and we had a difficult time finding it. We got there to find that the villa had not yet been cleaned and neither the housekeeper or the property manager was expecting us. The housekeeper called the manager who was very apologetic and said he would "make it up to us." We never heard from him again, but the housekeeper called in reinforcements and worked very hard to clean the villa as fast as possible. She did an outstanding job, but there was a strong odor lingering on the first floor. Despite these issues, we loved the villa. It was spacious and tastefully furnished inside and out and offered spectacular views. The location can't be beat with proximity to beautiful beaches and all that Tortola has to offer. We would definitely recommend the property with the caveat that renters need to contact the management in advance to insure a smooth arrival.

Had a blast

Lovely location overlooking long bay which was a short walk, and only a 5 min drive to smugglers! The dip pool is sensational and the entire place was clean, modern and well kept. The support staff are amazing and easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Place for Quiet Getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay in this unit. Unit is well equipped and tastefully finished. View from the large balcony doors and private deck are fantastic. Kitchen is very well equipped whether preparing a quick snack/ meal or full dinner. Good set of cookware as well as some spices/ oil which were a pleasant surprise. Grill was nice addition as well. There were beach towels, soft bath towels and couple coolers available for our use which was great for taking drinks to the beach. Bed on main level is a King size. Bathroom was in good shape though the shower could use a facelift, but usable and clean. Only have a couple negative comments I have is about the wifi. It left something to be desired. It is 3G MiFi type device which by most high speed internet standards is slow, but don't believe other units on VRBO that state you can go use Long Bay's internet. We tried. It is a secure network and they don't provide the password to Villa guests. The other request would be to have a TV in the bedroom. We enjoy watching TV before bed and missed having it. They do have Dish so you will find all the networks you are used to in the US. Walk to the beach is about 3 minutes to and 6-7 from (up hill), but acceptable as long as you are in good condition. If not there is a convenient parking spot right on the beach if you drive down to the main drive then turn left. Any questions let me know.
