About Chris Mangano: Cmangano38@comcast.net

I bought this property as a gift to myself and a legacy to my family, after I raised them and sent them to college. I work full time plus as a Home Care Nurse. I'm on the right in the photo. The other lady is my cousin

Chris Mangano: Cmangano38@comcast.net purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Chris Mangano: Cmangano38@comcast.net chose Dennis

This house is an all season house that has such good bones that reflects a 1950's standard. We did updating with a deck, outdoor shower and all new appliances, as well as a new bathroom and kitchen updates. The yard is regraded and seeded, with a new gated picket fence added this spring. This property is a total joy for me to share with friends, old and new.

What makes this cottage unique

What makes this home great is the location. It is 10' from the Exit 9 on Rt. 6 at Dennisport, near the major shopping area. It is an easy drive to get there, and then it is off of the main roads. There is no fast traffic to deal with. The neighborhood is quiet, which allows for walks, bike riding and great stars on a clear night! A nice walk in the evening will show a sky bright with stars unhampered by lights.

This little cottage will hug you like a soft robe with all the little touches of home. So much better than motel rooms! We appreciated the remodeled bathroom with plenty of storage and a wonderful rain shower.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for loving my cottage as much as I do. I enjoy sharing it with my guests as much as I love being there myself. It is my labor of love, like last my child. Please please come again .

Bev and I really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for ourselves and our dog.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was clean and well stocked . You need to bring your own sheets and towels. The fenced in yard is perfect to let your dog roam and exercise and the neighborhood was so quiet you can hear the muffled conversations from some of next door residents. The weather could not have been better with extremely warm days and cool evenings. Watch out for the mosquitoes when the breeze stops they are out with vengeance. The owner even gave us the option of late check out but unfortunately do to my having to return to work that afternoon we could not take advantage of the owners generosity. We would definitely return and stay much longer next time we visit the cape. Thank you Chris for allowing us to share a few days of your cottage paradise in Dennisport.

Great home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Chris' home was great. Our dog loves running around the back yard, and we had a nice and comfortable stay. Too bad we had bad weather for most of our stay, but this only means we'll need to come back and experience the Cape again.

Nice place, great for dog, had issues with work being done on the house

  • 3 of 5

The owner emailed me 2 days before my arrival that workers would be there the day of my arrival and the roof and front awning would finished that day. The workers were there and were not finished that day. They still needed to do the roof, but would wait to do the roof since we would be renting. They left promptly and left their wood and other debris in the driveway along with nails, so be careful. After a little back and forth with the owner, she offered a bottle of wine and we settled on good terms..what can you do? We enjoyed our stay and it was great for our dog, so overall nice place and great area. The thing that got me was, we were on our way home and the owner texted me this...

"We are good with the next renters for the roof. They totally get it. Thank goodness "

Sweet little home

  • 4 of 5

We loved our time in Dennisport in mid-June. This house is super cute. We are a family of 4 with a medium dog. It fit our needs wonderfully. We enjoyed the 1/2 mile walk to the beach straight down one road. The town was charming and when we were there very quiet. Our children loved the large fenced in yard to play with our dog. The home was well-stocked with beach stuff, bicycles, etc. We appreciated Chris providing us sheets/towels as we arrived by plane. The outdoor shower was amazing- love looking at the blue sky above. The only improvement I would recommend is that the closets be cleaned out more. They were pretty cramped with extra bedding, etc. It would have been nice to have more closet space to store our luggage etc. I realize there is not a ton of storage, but maybe extra linens etc. could be kept under beds etc. The house is small and quaint, but we felt it was spacious enough for a family of 4. The outdoor living space provided additional options for hanging out/eating. To those who are not familiar with Cape Cod- word of caution- it was not warm. We all had to buy additional sweatshirts in town, good news though they were all on sale. I would 100% recommend this home.
