The house was beautiful as well as the surounding countryside a get away from paradise

  • 5 of 5

This was my first experience of a holiday let and it didn't disappoint. Very peiceful and out of the way yet a relatively short drive to the beach. There was everything you could need at the house and it was nice to let the dogs out and not worry about them which they loved. We caught a glimps of the wild horses many times even a foal which was lovely to see. My husband daughter and son in law loved the walks. Hope to return again.

Beautiful, wild and remote with great facilities!

  • 5 of 5

This charming house exceeded our expectations, it had a rustic aesthetic charm whilst fulfilling creature comforts. The countryside around the house was beautiful and it felt like a proper adventure heading up into the hills. The owner has really taken time to consider what would make the house feel like a proper get-away and we enjoyed using the fire-pit and sitting by the stream each day. It was far too hot to light a fire but the wood burners and stacked wood looked very inviting. Would recommend!

Such a peaceful, remote cottage with everything needed for a relaxing holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great week with family in this comfortable & welcoming cottage. If you're after peace, tranquility & relaxation, this is perfect.

The track from the road is steep & narrow, so care needs to be taken. Rarely encounter other vehicles though, so don't let this put you off. Property location is amazing! Surrounded by forest, stream, soaring buzzards, hares, wild orchids & much more.

Cottage has all mod cons & is lovely. Great downstairs shower as well as an upstairs bathroom. Didn't need to use any heating, but the logburners would be ideal in cooler weather. Also central heating if needed. Good sized kitchen with all we needed.

Not far to Machynlleth by car, beautiful to walk there via the Welsh Coastal path, 6 miles each way.

Would highly recommend this property to couples or families who like to get away from the hustle & bustle of modern life.

Truly a Wilderness Retreat

  • 5 of 5

'Wilderness Retreat' does exactly what it says on the tin - a peaceful retreat in a magical woodland setting. The perfect place to allow your senses to expand and absorb the natural world without noise pollution from traffic or light pollution at night. The house itself is the best we've stayed in - clean, warm and homely with the added luxury of hi-tech creature comforts and a fantastic shower.

Beautiful coastal towns of Tywyn , Aberdovey and Borth all have lovely sea fronts and good food and drink. The area surrounding the cottage is perfect for hiking , walking ,bird watching, mountain biking ,as it is surrounded by hills and forests and yet only 3 miles in a straight line to the coast. There is a stream next to the cottage with its own waterfall .There are lots of other rivers nearby . Machynlleth is a bustling market town , holding a weekly market every Wednesday.
