The chalet is set in the beautiful surroundings of mountain peaks and cascading waterfalls
Our stay at this wonderful home exceeded all of our expectations. It is perfectly situated in the Valley, away from the hustle and bustle of town, but conveniently located, and only a short drive, or longer walk. Our living space was clean, well maintained and much larger than we had expected. We had the benefit of a full kitchen, full living room, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. We also enjoyed the beautiful yard and back porch in the evenings. It was wonderful to have parking and the comforts of home, but in the perfect location. The view is stunning, and the bus stop is very close, although we did not use it because we had a car and enjoyed walking. The owners were on the premises so we felt comfortable that they were available if we had any problems, but we still felt the right amount of privacy in our space. We awoke to the pleasant sounds of cow bells each morning, from cattle grazing in the yard, and enjoyed fresh milk across the street. The only recommendation for travelers would be to make sure you bring your own soap, shampoo, tissue, etc, unlike if you are staying in a hotel. All of these items are also available at the Coop in town if you are traveling light. We stayed at this wonderful place for 7 nights, and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. We hope to return one day.
We had a very memorable week here in this fantastic location. The views from the chalet were amazing and the accommodation is very well equipped, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed walking, going on mountain trains and cable cars, cycling in the valley along the traffic-free cycle track and swimming and dinghying in Lake Thun.
The holiday flat was very clean, even under the sofas and beds - our children tested it more then one time... It is located in a very nice area outside the tourist center of Lauterbrunnen, so it is very quiet. You can use the owners garden which has a georgous view to the end of the valley and the mountains. We felt very well and can warmly recomment this accomodation.
We wanted to experience the Swiss Alps in their beauty purity, and this wass a great place to stay for it. It was just a two-minute walk to the bus stop that took us to the cable car to Murren & the Schilthorn or into the town of Lauterbrunnen. The apartment is SPACIOUS and comfortable.
Our party of four adults stayed here for several nights. It was easy to find and is perfectly situated for trips up the Schilthorn, etc. The views from every window are wonderful. The eat-in kitchen was adequate. The living area is spacious and comfortable. The double bedroom is also spacious, but the twin room was very cramped. The owners were charming and easy to work with. Caveat: They require a rather early departure -- by 9:30 am as I recall.
I would happily stay here again.
Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) stayed at Chalet Breithorn for one week in early July 2011. The apartment is comfortable and well furnished. The apartment has amazing views and both bedrooms and the lounge look out to the Eiger, Monch and Jungrau. It was quite warm and sunny during our stay so you could see the alps very clearly. The apartment is in Stechelberg, outside Lauterbrunnen and is on the quieter side of town which suited us fine. The Co-op in Lauterbrunnen is cheaper than the grocery shop in the camping grounds opposite the the apartment.
We did a day trip to Bern, Interlaken and visited Grindewald a few times during our visit. Lots of activites in the region so you won't get bored. There are superb walking/hiking trails and the scenery is breathtaking. Some of activities we did was summer toboganning, cable cars, monster trotti and a zip wire flyer at First/Bort.
This chalet apartment is set in the beautiful quiet location of the Lauterbrunnen valley. In summer it is famous for its amazing waterfalls, spectacular mountain views, hiking, biking and mountaineering are popular summer activities, for the adrenalin seeker canyoning and skydiving are a must. In winter it is a wonderful ski resort with numerous ski lifts and cable cars. The area is known most famously for its downhill ski race in Wengen, every January. This picturesque mountain valley has the well known Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau region on one side and the Schlithorn region on the other side. Both skiers and snowboarders will be delighted. The wildlife in this area is second to none, you will see daily chamois, deers and falcons, prepare to be amazed! If you wish to see more of our chalet look on our home page, ask us for link.
