Le Marais is a wonderful location where you can feel like a local. Walking distance to many of Paris' finest attractions and delicious restaurants, and a convenient train ride away to many more. The apartment is tiny but has everything that one traveler or a couple need. Highly recommend!
Nice to read you enjoyed your stay.
Great location and the host thinks of everything
I really enjoyed my two-week stay here. The location was great. It is in a nice little neighborhood, close to three metro stops, lots of shops and many choices of cafes, coffee shops and markets. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. Also, communication with the host was very easy.
My only reason for 4 vs 5 stars was that the mattress on the sofa bed is good, but not quite as firm as my body would have appreciated. This might have been fine for a few nights, but was a little problematic for me for the longer stay.
Great location! 25 minute walk to Notre Dame, 20 minute uber ride to the Eiffel Tower. A park just a few minutes down the street and plenty of wonderful cafes and shops on every corner. Very safe apartment and Thierry was a great host. I loved staying here and I definitely recommend!
Merci very nice review
Perfect location - cheerful orange made me smile even though it rained 4 days - all necessary ammenities - I especially nice was finding coffee sugar trash bags soap and other key items like toilette paper ! Which made my arrival and stay even better. Thank you Thierry - looking forward to coming back ! Can only recommend this studio and the owner very friendly - thank you !
Merci for this very nice comment, I do my best and it is so rewarding ! Please come back to enjoy the city with sun next time !
The Best Little Secret Home in Paris
To begin, the little flat is adorable and has all of the little things needed to enjoy a week or longer stay in the City of Paris. With its prime location, anyone can walk to or take public transit to so many of the city's famous sites in little time. Notre Dame and the Seine River was just less than a thirty minute walk.
The biggest notable area near the apartment is "La Republique" with tons of little shops, cafes, and beautiful square. The food highlights in the area were "La Poste du Cafe" down the block which had fantastic lattes and croissants. The empanada place below the apartment was always filled with patrons.
The apartment was decorated in an entire Orange theme with bedding, plates, towels, and decorations all in this hue. The apartment had a small kitchen with everything you need to make a meal with pots, pans, stovetop, basic utensils, a fridge, and microwave. The bathroom came with towels, a blow dryer, and the necessary cleaning supplies to keep the place nice. There is a heater for when it is cold and no air conditioning. Yet, this was no issue as we kept the windows open every night and had a fan blowing cool air. Any issues we experienced, we informed Thierry and were resolved. It's not a five star hotel, but its price, prime location, and the amenities like wifi and kitchen that are included, make it so hard to pass up. Plus, it's all Orange! Seriously, it's decorated adorably and was the comment that my girlfriend and myself kept saying during our stay.
The day we can come back to Paris, we'll be following up again with Thierry. It was a wonderful experience and let us live like how the Parisians do.
merci for your very kind review Thierry
Good location, small oblique apartment
The location is good, nice neighbourhood and easy to get around.
The apartment is ok, but it was annoying that everything is askew and that it was a bit noisy outside since the windows have to be open for ventilation.
The apartment manager was responsive, but after departure he falsely accused us of keeping the key and only provided a lame excuse when sorting the matter out.
Robert, If I had known I would not have asked you naively to write a review about the apartment and my service. You did not miss me ! It seems you over react, you left the apartment in a hurry (not your fault, there was an air strike that day … by the way I helped you find another flight … my service is not so bad), it happened more than once (I have been in this business for 15 years) guests leaving with the key in their pocket. That day my (new) assistant had came before me and took the key which I did not know and could not contact her. The next guests were shortly checking-in and I was in a rush (being in a hurry you left the apartment VERY untidy). I do not believe I deserve a so negative review and rate especially if you agree « The location is good, nice neighborhood and easy to get around. The apartment is ok … ». Usually guests agree this apartment is a good value for the price, 420 € for a week in one of the most pleasant district in Paris (…even though everything might be « askew »…in fact I do not really understand what you mean). Last but not least regarding the noise, the apartment is overlooking a very small street with hardly no traffic, no stores and no cafés (rue Debelleyme), it is usually quiet in spite of being in the center of Paris in a very animated trendy district (that’s why guests usually choose this district). If you really need a very quiet place, next time do not choose a so central location. As a conclusion, you based the rate (2/5 which is very negative) on the « key event » (which was inappropriate I agree), I think this is not fair at all and above all extremely excessive.
