Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Kalispell - 333 Plantation Drive

I am sure you know the importance of a good location.

This house is located in Kalifish Falls :-))

With that I mean that is strategically located between Whitefish, Kalispell and Columbia Falls in the Flathead Valley.

Everything is located just a few minutes drive giving you convenient access to all the services, amenities and attractions in the area.

Glacier Park is only 30 minutes away to the East.(20 Miles)

Ten minutes North to Whitefish's downtown restaurants and supermarkets (5 Miles) and 20 minutes to Whitefish Mountain Resort (15 Miles). The largest shopping area in Kalispell is also 10 minutes away going South (8 Miles).

The neighborhood is designed in a way that you are surrounded by trees and have unobstructed views to the nearby mountains.

My home looks like a bungalow from the access driveway.

However, when you stand at the huge deck running all the way in the back of the house, you will realize that there is another floor. That lower floor I keep for myself for those rare days when I decide to be around.

The house that you will get has an open concept design.

A big space enclosing the living room, dining area , kitchen and breakfast area, all furnished in the attractive NW style and dominated by a large stones fireplace.

Windows everywhere to bring inside the beauty of the outdoors. There is a mud room with access to the laundry and the two cars garage.

The laundry area is equipped with washer, dryer, ironing table, a counter and cabinets.

The kitchen has everything you may have at home: Gas stove with oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster and china for four people. Also all the cooking utensils you may need.

The sleeping area is located to the left of the entrance.

A large master bedroom facing the view of the mountains.

There is a queen size bed and an entertainment unit enclosing the TV and DVD player.

A big bathroom with shower and a tub, separated toilet area and a huge walking closet. Large counter with two sinks and mirror wall to wall.

The other room is facing the front of the house.Has a regular closet and also another queen size bed. The bathroom with shower, sink and toilet is located between the room and the master bedroom. The house is so well ventilated and insulated that no air conditioned is required. But just in case, for some few hot Summer's days, there are ceiling fans in all rooms. It is specially important that on those days you follow our instructions about what to do. In a few words: Open the windows during the night and CLOSE all of them during the day. For most of our guests this is easy to do since they spend everyday exploring our beautiful outdoors. We had a couple of situations where our guests stayed with us for a week and going nowhere, just enjoying the house. The first impulse is to open all the windows during the day but... is the wrong thing to do!!

Our neighborhood has two tennis courts that our guests can use at any time since there are not many people using it. We have close to 80 acres of common area that can be used for walks/jogging in the Summer or for X-country skiing in the Winter.

About Felix Jimenez

I am a very friendly and social person.

Have Spanish/ Latin ancestors but I was born in an island in the Caribbean.

During my adulthood spent many years living in Toronto/Canada

It was a while before I discovered just by chance the Montana paradise.

My profession was Architecture but I got a post grade in Planning of Tourism.

That changed my life completely and I spent many years in the field of Tourism.

Had the opportunity to travel a lot during those years and as a result,

got good friends in many countries, mainly in Europe and all the Americas.

Now I am retired after many years in the Travel and Hotel Industry

I enjoy playing the piano since I was a kid

Not a professional but...I consider myself a good pianist and all the time

I challenge myself to play more technically demanding classical music.

What else I do?

I love outdoor activities like hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing.

If you collect stamps, we do have a lot to talk about!

My personal library looks like a public library.

Therefore, if you feel like reading during your visit, we can explore it and find a good book for you.

My latest toy is a 1973 Airstream travel trailer.

really the latest since I got a sailboat last year.

I guess that now I can also add trailer camping and sailing to my activities :-))

And very important: My wife is one of the best realtors I have ever met.

She can always find the best property to match your needs.

And she is also the best sailor I have ever met. That means that I will not have too many chances to be the captain but the crew.

Am I saying anything new? :-)

Why Felix Jimenez chose Montana

Our house is a designer home with everything you would need for a perfect stay.

The house and grounds are spacious The view from the back deck is a pleasure to look out on. The house is located very near Glacier and Whitefish with lots to see and explore without having to drive a long distance.

The home is super comfortable, in an excellent area within minutes of Whitefish, Kalispell, the airport and the National Park.

The house is charming, extremely well kept, with all necessary things to make either short or long stay very enjoyable. It is situated in a nice, well manicured neighborhood, with ample amount of privacy and greenery (good for jogging or walking, both of which we did). Big Mountain offers many activities for all ages and fitness levels; Whitefish (5 min from the house) is great for nice dinning (Check out Tupelo's for nice dinning and Jersey Boys Pizza for a local charm ), evening strolls, Tuesday's Open Markets and their food trucks, fresh produce and music.

What makes this house unique

All the interesting places and activities are surrounding you but the location of the house will give you the feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere and offer lots of privacy.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Felix was a great a host, and his home was excellent. It was everything we could have wanted and more. The house had many great features and was kept in immaculate condition. We used the house as basecamp, as we spent our days in Glacier National Park, and it completely met our needs. I would definitely stay at Felix's again if I returned to the area.

Very Nice Home

  • 4 of 5

Home is beautiful and kitchen well stocked, the back balcony and yard was well worth the stay. Felix (the owner) was very helpful and available for any questions. Close to shopping, ski resort and the National Park. The house is in need of a deep cleaning as there was a lot of dust especially along and on the baseboards. No A/C and even though we opened the windows at night and shut them in the AM (as instructed by Felix) it still was a little too warm in the afternoon in the home. Also the owner was experimenting with an over the air antenna in the kitchen (the only TV available in the living area) and it didn't work very well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable.

Owner's Response: Hi JoNell: Thanks so much for your comments. I will definitely take a look to the baseboards you are mentioning. When I designed those baseboards I knew that will be more difficult than usual to keep them free of dust but I like it the way it is. Since we do a deep cleaning every week, probably the apparent dust is more the need for some paint :-).Glad that this was the most significant problem you found otherwise I will be feeling a little down after so much effort trying to accommodate our guests. In case you are not aware, you got the honor to be the FIRST person in four years giving us less than FIVE stars!! Well...sometimes things are not that perfect :-)) Looking forward to see you again in the future and thanks for been such a nice guest.

Two friends met 20 years ago doing business. One from Sweden one from PA. They have since been on the quest of their bucket list. With the kindness and attententiveness of Felix a perfect leg of their journey has been completed. We shall forever be in his debt for allowing us this opprortunity to explore Big Sky Country in comfort and style.

Quiet and Lovely

  • 5 of 5

This home is ideally located by the airport, but is so quiet you would never know it. Fully stocked kitchen for any cook. Our host, Felix greeted us and walked us through the house. Glacier National park is just 30 minutes by car. We would stay here again.

A bargain!

  • 5 of 5

This is an incredible bargain vs. other options. Probably worth 2 times the amount he asks for it.

Felix works hard to deliver a 5 star look and feel everywhere in his home and yard. For me, his home was even more elegant then the pictures show.

First morning on the deck I saw an owl about 40 feet away in a tree. Late one night a deer in the front yard.

Down the road a neighbor has a ranch like home with 2 camels, a buffalo and zebra. It is a little crazy seeing camels and buffalo next to each other. We took the time to take a picture, because it is a little unbelievable.

Felix is as advertised, friendly and social, and yet gives you your space to enjoy your time there.

During the Summer, the main attraction in this area is the Glacier National Park. During the Winter months, skiing and snowboarding in our two great ski resorts is the biggest activity in the region. Not too far, going North to Canada, there are two other ski resorts: Kimberley and Ferney. Will take about 1.5 hours to go to any of the two resorts.
