Guestbook comments from the manager

Dear Tracy & Mike,

We have just returned from a lovely weekend staying at The Orlop Deck in Lyme Regis. It was absolutely perfect. We all had such a fun & relaxing time and loved staying at your apartment. The kids loved their beds and of course F loved playing the PS4 when it rained! We had rain, sun, ice cream, fish & chips, the best BLT ever and loads of fun!

Thank you,

Millie and family

Strictly no pets. The apartment is cleaned on every change over day. Very few properties in 'old Lyme' benefit from immediate parking. You can park at the bottom of Hill Road to drop off your things at The Orlop Deck before parking your car. We tend to choose Woodmead Halls Car Park, which is located a 4-minute walk away. Parking costs £20 for 3 days with the Phone&Pay App (car park number 7622). There is a cheaper £2 a day car park (Holmbush Car Park DT7 3HX, this is 10 mins walk and quite a steep hill). Be aware that Lyme Regis is very busy during the Summer months. It is easier to park very early in the morning or late evening to avoid the queues.

Quiet & cosy in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed discovering our charming abode in Lyme hidden anoung the cottage rows of historic Sherborne Lane. It's compact inside but really has everything you could possibly need whether you just want to read in the garden or cook well and cuddle up by the fire. Our children (5&7) loved the quirky garden, their bunk room and reading lamps (!). A Tastefully furnished and well thought out property - perfect for a fun weekend away. Thanks Tracey & family.

Excellent holiday, lovely cottage, fantastic.

  • 5 of 5

Cottage was very clean and tidy. The owner couldn’t have been nicer, nothing too much trouble. Position was perfect, just on the edge of town. Plenty of room, lovely little garden area. Weather was perfect, sunny everyday. Lyme is fantastic, full of little back alleys and quirky shops. Beach was shingle and water beautifully clear. Even found some fossils. Swam through Durdle Door, magical.

Charming location to relax and to explore

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cottage - walking distance to the seaside; all amenities close by. Sweet little walking lane entrance. Terrace garden overlooking the small river running to the sea, walking path beside. Everything you need in the cottage to make the stay most comfortable. Perfect to stay right in old Lyme.

3 night Lyme Regis get-away

  • 5 of 5

While visiting our son and daughter=in-law in London we wanted to get away for a couple of days and chose “Lyme.” We almost decided to stay an extra day, it was that nice. The cottage is in the oldest part of town and therefore perfectly located to explore the village and surrounding area on foot. Cozy and comfortable with a lovely garden, it was perfect for the 2 of us. A well supplied kitchen made for easy meal prep when we wanted to stay in after a long day of hiking and exploring.

Ticked all the boxes!!

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic find.... Loved every minute of my stay here. Ideally situated in a quiet spot with a lovely little garden to soak up the sun, breakfast was eaten out there every morning as well as fish & chips one evening. Couple of minutes walk either way into the town or to the beach. The cottage is kitted out with everything you need, from appliances, utensils, towels, bedding etc. It's cosy, quirky, has all the mod cons, practical, & homely all rolled into one. I would have liked more detailed instructions on how to work/ turn on tv /DVD player / games console but that's only because I'm rubbish at anything like that.. in saying that when I contacted the owner it was very politely explained to me. This is a hidden gem and I will definitely be paying an other visit. Can not fault anything... it ticks all the boxes!
