We had 6 families with children ranging from ages 2-10. There was so much space for our large group. The kids camped out in some of the open areas and had a blast. There was enough room for the kids to play and watch movies (in the upstairs living room) while adults were able to visit and chat downstairs. We were comfortable and happy to be there and agree we will try to make a stay there for next summer as well. Thanks for the excellent hospitality.
My family came from Denver, Minnesota & North Dakota for a family get together. We had Grandpa & Grandma and 4 families of kids from 9months to 14 years old. It worked great. Thank you for all the fun memories.
This was a wonderful MN getaway for my family. The Brickyard Lake Lodge was spacious yet cozy and fully stocked with towels, bedding, cookware, games and books - everything that you need for a relaxing vacation! The beds were comfortable and the lodge offered plenty of gathering areas to meet as a family. The location is perfect - within walking distance to downtown Battle Lake which is full of quaint shops and restaurants and of course the beautiful lake! There are bike and paddle board rentals available in town. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. I gave 5 stars based on three criteria: cleanliness, location and atmosphere. The lodge was very clean, well situated and had a wonderful atmosphere. If you are looking to create family memories, this is the place!
Scrapbooking with a group of friends was an awesome experience at the Brickyard Lake Lodge! The house had everything we needed for the weekend and there was plenty of room for all of us to work on our projects. I will certainly come back for some more scrapbooking and I'd also like to return in the summer months to experience more of Battle Lake.
My son and I arrived in Battle Lake very late on a Thursday night and we were thrilled to find The Brickyard Lake Lodge as the perfect "getaway" for our next three days in Minnesota. Jimmy had never been on a fishing trip before and the first thing he said to me was "Dad, this place is Awesome!" The lodge is very large, yet they have accomplished a cozy "cabin" feel as it is decorated in a rustic manor with spacious living rooms with very nice furnishings. The kitchen on the main floor has newer appliances and the pantry has all of the tools necessary to make "eating in" simple. The lodge can easily accommodate two families and has all the space you would need to let everyone spread out and enjoy some relaxing time away from it all. Jimmy and I were in Battle Lake to enjoy some late season fishing on several of the lakes in the area. This property had everything that we could ask for and had several nice discoveries of unexpected conveniences along the way. When I rate a property, I have two main criteria. First, it needs to be clean, and second, did the property leave a positive impact on our trip. The Brickyard Lake Lodge delivers in a big way on both of these points. After several hours on the water each day, Jimmy and I couldn't wait to get back to the lodge to relax in total comfort. The owners are very friendly, accommodating and are very willing to share their local knowledge to help you get the most enjoyment out of your vacation in Battle Lake. Jimmy and I are already looking forward to returning to The Brickyard Lake Lodge, but next time with our whole family.
