This freshly renovated 6 bedroom, 5 full bath home is in the city's best location. Walk to great restaurants, cafes, shops, parks, Cave Hill and many other attractions.

Over 4000 square feet of space on three floors. The first floor has a large, gracious entry room, living room, dining room, just remodeled kitchen and just remodeled bathroom. On the second floor are 4 bedrooms (3 king, 1 queen) and two full baths. On the third floor is a large king master suite and full bath. The walk out basement has a queen bedroom, a large family room, a full bath and a fully equipped laundry room. All bedrooms have a 32' flat screen television, top quality bedding and lovely décor. The living room and family rooms each have a 55' flat screen. Dining room seats 8-10 with additional dining area available on the patio. Wifi thoughout. Great back patio area with large gas grill, outdoor sofa and chairs and a table and chairs.


1- If your group grows, we have several other properties within a block of this one (VRBO 430762 is less than 100 yards away).

2-Local and State sales/transient taxes are quoted according the day of booking. If your stay begins ON OR AFTER August 1, 2016, the new Louisville Metro Transient tax of 8% will be added to your total after booking.

3-Although this home is just a short walk to many exciting party spots, it is located on a residential street. Absolutely no "partying" noise or other disturbance will be tolerated. This house is not a good choice for bachelor party groups.

The master suite takes up the entire third floor and has lovely ensuite bath with walk in shower. The second queen bedroom is located in the basement along with a full bath.

Perfect layout for extended families

A perfect space for our three generations of family, and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Beautiful street, easy access to the Highland restaurants, and a block from the highly-rated cemetery.

Big,adorable, clean!

We just a Girl's weekend (8 of us) and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house had plenty of space, supplies and was close enough to walk to some places. Our favorite spot was the outdoor area. The owner made sure we got there safely and had everything we needed. She had everything so we didn't need to contact her but I knew I could reach her at any time. The house was clean and adorable. All 8 of us would highly recommend this house/owner!

Lovely Large Home in Great Location!

Our large family was in town for a family wedding and this home fit our needs so well. Everyone was so pleased with this lovely home. It was comfortable with every bedroom having an extra plush blanket, plenty of clean, white towels, several rooms to spread out in, and lots of very comfortable king beds. This was a super clean home and we really appreciated that! The home is situated on a beautiful historic, tree-lined street with many restaurants, including Mellow Mushroom and Starbucks right around the corner. Lovely neighborhood to take long walks in. The downstairs basement and 4th floor attic area (which had its own quiet A/C unit), were like brand new with plush carpeting and their own bathrooms. Every floor had a bathroom and shower with 2 water closets on the 2nd floor. The kitchen had very nice stainless steel appliances and was well stocked....we grilled steaks on the propane grill and all of us ate dinner on the large back patio. The only con we found during our stay was the main floor and 2nd floor hardwoods creaked quite a bit, so it was often noisy when half of us were sleeping and half of us were awake, 10pm-12am and 6-8am, but box fans set on "High" in the bedrooms helped with that a lot. Our suggestion to the owner would be to place a box fan in each bedroom for this reason (there are only 2 in the home now). We had a wonderful time during our week-long stay and all of us said we would DEFINITELY stay in this home again! Thank you for sharing your home with us Deidre!

Wonderful house!

My family spent three nights in this wonderful house; everyone was in town for my son's wedding and the arrangement of rooms really accommodated the different needs we had in the family. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. The house could not be in a better location, walking distance to Baxter/Bardstown road with all they have to offer, fifteen minutes to everywhere else we needed to go. We had no problems with parking and the street is very lovely. One afternoon we spent driving around the Cave Hill Cemetery.

We had an issue with two of the showers not draining, but Deirdre came by and fixed them later that day. Strong internet (even in the third floor) and the cooling/heat was user friendly. Only other issue was no pot holders in the kitchen... other than that, the house just made an amazing weekend even more enjoyable.

We were greeted with the warm southern hospitality by the owner that makes you wanting to come back.

We went to Louisville Kentucky to spend time with family and support our oldest as he took part in the Ironman event held there. The entire time was made memorable by the availability of an awesome house we rented for the visit. It was large enough, five bedroom/four baths, for five adults and four kids without anyone getting in the way of each other. You are provided with everything you would have in your own home.
