This freshly renovated 6 bedroom, 5 full bath home is in the city's best location. Walk to great restaurants, cafes, shops, parks, Cave Hill and many other attractions.
Over 4000 square feet of space on three floors. The first floor has a large, gracious entry room, living room, dining room, just remodeled kitchen and just remodeled bathroom. On the second floor are 4 bedrooms (3 king, 1 queen) and two full baths. On the third floor is a large king master suite and full bath. The walk out basement has a queen bedroom, a large family room, a full bath and a fully equipped laundry room. All bedrooms have a 32' flat screen television, top quality bedding and lovely décor. The living room and family rooms each have a 55' flat screen. Dining room seats 8-10 with additional dining area available on the patio. Wifi thoughout. Great back patio area with large gas grill, outdoor sofa and chairs and a table and chairs.
1- If your group grows, we have several other properties within a block of this one (VRBO 430762 is less than 100 yards away).
2-Local and State sales/transient taxes are quoted according the day of booking. If your stay begins ON OR AFTER August 1, 2016, the new Louisville Metro Transient tax of 8% will be added to your total after booking.
3-Although this home is just a short walk to many exciting party spots, it is located on a residential street. Absolutely no "partying" noise or other disturbance will be tolerated. This house is not a good choice for bachelor party groups.
I have been in the hospitality business for many years. Several years ago, I began renting homes in Louisville for shorter stays. Our homes are all in great locations, with restaurants, cafes and shopping within a short walk. Each home is set up for maximum comforts with wifi, cable, fine bedding and flat screen televisions.

Location, location, location! Walk to dozens of great restaurants, cafes, shops and parks in 10 minutes or less. 1 mile to downtown. But, still in a beautiful residential neighborhood of historic homes.
Fully renovated in 2014, this home has it all- gorgeous floors, great kitchen, luxury baths, spacious bedrooms and a great back patio.
My family arrived at the home before I did and announced "It's so big we'll be able to avoid each other all weekend!" And there were lots of places to get away - the front porch, the patio in back, the window seat in the dining room, the living room, and the TV room downstairs. But in practice, we used all those locations for gathering together.
The house is beautiful, with nice touches like a decorative leaded glass window in the stairwell, high ceilings, and fancy metal registers. Very much the grand Louisville home, and the neighborhood is equally nice.
The bedrooms were spacious and well-appointed, and there were sufficient bathrooms that even with 8 adults, we never spent much time waiting. There's even a full bath off the dining room for overflow. Every bathroom seemed to have 1-2 hairdryers, so no need to bring your own!
The location of the house was fantastic - no more than a 10-15 minute walk from delicious food (Jackfry's and especially Holy Grale, which received three visits for dinner and brunch over the course of the long weekend), a drug store, gourmet popsicles, Irish pubs, shopping, and the beautiful Cave Hill Cemetery. (Though you should drive there in order to fully appreciate it - it's expansive and some of the more interesting sights are far from the entrance.) We decided after 4 days that pretty much everything else in Louisville was no more than a 20-minute drive.
We had a few minor quibbles: the dishware has silver rims and therefore wasn't microwavable, and my parents said there's a doorway but not a door on the bathroom on the top floor, so put people up there who are very comfortable with each other! Otherwise, we were thrilled and would definitely stay there again if/when we go back to Louisville! Thank you, Deirdre!
We had a college reunion and really enjoyed our stay. Very spacious, comfortable beds, and walking distance to so many things. Highly recommended
This was an awesome house in a great neighborhood. The beds were amazingly comfortable! Parking was great and the house was very convenient to get to and was close to many restaurants, coffee shops, and other shopping areas. We enjoyed our stay there very much!
We stayed in this property for a girls getaway. We were pleasantly surprised on how large the home was! It is fantastic for a large group.There were six of us, and we each had our own bed, and plenty of bathrooms. Everyone commented on the comfort of the beds.The downstairs is a great entertainment area to lounge around, and there is a quaint patio in back. There are also several restaurants and bar options near the home.
The host did a great job of communicating prior to our stay, and followed up afterwards. I would highly recommend renting this property!
Great house, nice location for the sights of Louisville, fantastic beds and never ran out of hot water! We (5 couples) would stay in this nice, clean house again.
The house was very nice! had a quaint old-time charm but provided modern amenities. We loved all the rooms and were able to accommodate our whole group! The newly finished basement was awesome, and the back patio grill and eating area was stunning! Thanks for a great stay, we hope to stay again next year! BTW-we were in town for the VEX WORLDS ROBOTICS COMPETITION and our Middle-School team WON WORLDS!!!!

The total tax rate for bookings is 16.07% (KY Sales tax, KY transient tax and Louisville Metro Transient tax). This is the same rate you would pay at a hotel in our city. Many owners do not yet have the taxes included in their rates-- but legally, they must be collected or the rental will be shut down.
If there is a change in local tax law, the tax rate will be adjusted accordingly. Please be aware that Louisville Metro Council is currently working on an ordinance to add an 8% transient tax to short term stays (just as local hotels pay).
