Summerwoods, a new community located on the south end of the island where the parkway is canopied with majestic oaks. It is beautiful. Located between the Ritz Carlton and the renowned Summer Beach area, it is in my opinion the perfect location. We welcome you to stay at our Vacation Home and enjoy Summerwoods of Amelia as much as we do. Within the majestic canopied oaks is a dedicated beach walkway from the Villas to the ocean. (see photos) The villa style condo has a private pool and cabana for our guests.
The interior has a Luxury Master Suite with Master Bath that includes 2 shower heads, granite counters, dual sinks. The Master Bedroom has an exterior door leading to the screened lanai; all backed up to a line of trees for privacy. There is a large, upscale kitchen with a granite breakfast bar, which seats three and a dining area for four people.
This property is more desirable because it is newly built in 2014 and includes more high end amenities such as 10 foot ceilings, raised panel doors, full size washer and dryer, screened lanai, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and tile flooring.

My background is in Marketing and Real Estate and my business travel brought me initially to the island 10 years ago. My profession allowed me to travel throughout the United States and I have seen many beautiful places across the country, but none compare to Amelia Island with its pristine beaches, wonderful seafood, and ongoing community festivals and activities. Everyone needs a great place to escape and refresh. Whether its reading that novel I never have time to complete or just taking time to relax and explore, Villa Sans Souci was the place I longed to be! I invite you to be my guest and start your own adventure in Paradise.
Laurie Reichelt purchased this villa in 2014
To me this is Paradise. That's why I named it Villa Sans Souci, a place with 'no worries', where you can be 'carefree' and enjoy your time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life back home. I always get pulled back to Summerwoods of Amelia. My favorite past time is enjoying the beach, boating and beachcombing. You never know the treasures you will find while exploring nature and enjoying the wonderful surroundings that await you here on Amelia Island. Please come and stay awhile. You will be glad you did!
Villa San Souci has 3 Flat Screen TV's, 2 DVD's, and Free WIFI. Phone for local calls only. The screened in Lanai is a great place to relax for an evening cocktail after a carefree day of enjoying all the island has to offer. It is nice to come back to your own private villa that's tucked under the majestic old oaks. Many mornings you can hear the surf crashing against the beautiful beach only a 5 minute walk away.
Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Laurie was extremely responsive, answered all of our questions before and during our stay, and provided a lot of useful information. She made booking the condo and accessing the property a breeze. The condo is newer construction and it was beautifully decorated and very clean upon our arrival. It is two bedrooms, but the whole unit is much larger than we expected (especially the master bedroom and bath). The condo was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We felt like we were part of the owner's family, not a rental guest. It is located in a small little community that appears to occupied by mostly residents. We only saw two other families that were vacationing. This condo is in a building with 5 other units, but during our entire week stay we only ran into the other residents on one or two occasions. I say that to say this, it was very quiet and relaxing. There was some ongoing construction on newer condos in the back of the property, but it never interfered with our stay. The community is well maintained and our two young children enjoyed the small community pool. The community is a short walk from the beach (about 12 minutes with two young children and a wagon full of beach equipment). There is a dedicated paved beach walk (most which is through wooded areas which made it nice getting out of the sun). Bring a golf cart if you have one as you can drive all the way to a paved parking area near the dune stairs. Closer to the beach, you need to navigate several sets of wooden stairs. This was a little challenging with a beach wagon, but after a few days we were pros at carrying it up an down the stairs. The beach was beautiful and very quiet. Most days there were only a handful of families around us. The beach is in a residential area, so you do not get all the craziness that you expect from the resort beaches. Some days we had the beach to ourselves. We will definitely consider staying at this condo again in the future if we vacation in Amelia Island. Highly recommended!
We had a great week here. We could not have asked for a nicer place. It is virtually brand new and is kept immaculately. We loved the decor and the owner was great to work with. It is not on the ocean but it is a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed. It has a nice roomy balcony which faces the woods which we found very relaxing in the early mornings before we started out day. Thanks for a great week! Jim and Cheryl from Pittsburgh.
We truly enjoyed ourselves in this new and well planned condo. The condo was very well cleaned before our arrival and smelled new and fresh when we first walked in. We found everything to be easy to find. I would suggest adding couple sharper knives to the kitchen collection and maybe another frying pan. But again I realize most of the people eat out and would not really care about that as much. Overall we really liked the place and the area. Nothing to complain about. We were pleasantly surprised of how friendly people are on Amelia Island. I think we might visit this area again in the future.
This condo is LOVELY! Still smells like new construction. Completely clean and beautifully furnished. TALL ceilings, large open floor-plan so popular today, state-of-the-art technology, COMFORTABLE master-bedroom king bed. Kitchen completely stocked with every cooking utensil you might need for meals and drinks. We loved having a private locked garage in which to park. NO traffic or road noise. No crowds. Very quiet. Condominium complex is beautifully manicured and layed out. Swimming pool was clean and new, beautifully surrounded with tropical vegetation and pool house. The walk to the beach took about 10-15 minutes for our 50-year-old bodies at a leisure pace. Very scenic safe walk too! Had an extra treat as we saw four armadillos rummaging around in the vegetation along the way. Also some unusual butterflies. Shaded walk through the tropics almost the entire way! (Note: There IS the option to drive and park your car at a beach access point just a few minutes from the condo.) Beach was clean and uncrowded. Only complaint, if I can call it that, is no animals allowed. Would have loved to had the option to bring my canine companion as I saw many other couples and families with their dogs there. Overall, though, I give this vacation a 5-star rating! Thanks for the memorable 35th Wedding Anniversary vacation spot! Lena K
We arrived to find a beautiful and clean condo, complete with welcoming flowers in the kitchen. Four adults found the space comfortable and easy to access. We would love to come back yearly, thank you for sharing your home!
My wife and I stayed in this beautiful condo for the month of February. We were very pleased with the condo and it's location. The condo was very clean, modern, uncluttered and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed being close to the walking/biking trail and beach. The owner was very responsive to our emails. We would definitely book this condo again if we going to Amelia Island.
