Great place!

  • 5 of 5

We (2 children & my dad) stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect. The cottage is only 3 blocks from the beach and the bikes are perfect for the short ride. There is a small park directly across from the cottage and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance (less than a mile).

One thing that I wish I would have known before visiting is that there is only one outlet (Greg please correct me if I'm wrong) that accommodates a plug with three prongs, all other outlets are only two.

Overall, great place and would definitely stay again!

Great little guest house!

  • 5 of 5

Dover Guest House is a delightful spot in a perfect location, close to shops and the beach. It is located behind a main property, the Dover Cottage, also on VRBO/HomeAway: vrbo.com/643325 There is a shared yard, grill and bikes. Although the guesthouse is small, it had all the essentials ( coffee pot, tea kettle, fridge, basic dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc.) It is simple living with a nice small screened in porch/lanai, a living area with comfortable furnishings, a clean and updated bathroom with glass shower stall, a tight and tiny galley kitchen with counter and barstools and a bedroom with two twin beds and a washer/dryer. We were most impressed with the responsiveness of the property manger, Greg, who was quick with responses via e-mail and gracious in accommodating our requests and concerns. We have used VRBO since 2004 and this has been one of our best experiences.

This was a great place to stay. It is a block from the historic district and we could walk to everything there. We felt so comfortable there and we would definitely stay there again.

This was a 3 girlfriend getaway, and we had such a fabulous time. We laughed until our sides split.

  • 5 of 5

The two early risers were able to walk for coffee in the morning. It is close to everything including the Church. Bikes were available to ride, and we walked down to beach every night for sunset with our Margaritas. Loved this cozy little getaway. Owner and manager go above and beyond to enhance the overall experience. Can't wait to come back!!!
