You will be renting a luxurious apartment directly from the Belgian owner. Cavalo Preto Beach Resort houses about 30 modern, luxurious and spacious apartments with views of the sea and beach. It enjoys an excellent location within the 'Golden Triangle' between Vilamoura and Vale do Lobo. You will be spoilt for choice among bars, restaurants, beaches and golf courses in the immediate surroundings: from the very nearby local beach bar to the internationally famous restaurants in the Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago five-star resorts.

The building is located in a private garden with a shared swimming pool and a playground for the children. This spacious and comfortable apartment is ideal for having your holidays or a longer stay, or for hibernating in the lovely Algarve region. The apartment is modern and comfortably equipped. The open-plan living and dining area lead towards a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, cooker, a microwave, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine.

Golf enthusiasts are being spoilt with many of the Algarve's best golf courses a stone's throw away:

- Vila Sol: 27 holes in a rolling parkland; a 5-minute drive away

- Vilamoura: 5 championship courses. The Old Course, Millennium, Laguna, Pinhal and Victoria are all just a 10-minute drive away.

- Vale do Lobo: the Ocean Course and Royal Course are 10 minutes driving away

- Quinta do Lago: San Lorenzo, Laranjal en and both the Quinta de Lago North and South courses are just 15 minutes driving away.

The internationally renowned seaside resort Vilamoura (next to Quarteira) draws a lot of visitors all year long. The Quinta do Lago lake hosts a well-known water sports centre. The Ria Formosa nature park is unique in Europe and offers lots of hiking and cycling paths in all difficulty levels. The Vilamoura marina offers a wide range of ocean-based leisure activities - from deep-sea fishing on the coastline to cruises and champagne cruises with a luxurious private speedboat. Dozens of restaurants and bars offer a lovely view of the Vilamoura marina. The golden beach, with sun loungers and parasols, is located just in front of the apartment and can be reached within a 2-minute walk. Local beach bars, restaurants, shops and cafés are located nearby on your walk along the newly-developed Quarteira boulevard.Quarteira is a traditional Algarve city with a historical centre that provides a fish market and some good local shops. Several local supermarkets are located nearby and a car is certainly not essential for enjoying your stay in Cavalo Preto Beach Apartments.

This superior accommodation on the second floor offers a large private balcony.

WOW! An amazing holiday apartment

We have just returned from a week at this apartment and we all agreed it has been the best holiday. The apartment is spacious, clean and light. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday, even providing washing tablets which many apartments don't.

The pool was cold at the time of year we went, but as the sun was shining all week, it was nice to cool down. We spent many hours relaxing on the large balcony as it is in the sun all afternoon and you can see the beautiful view of the beach and sea.

The walk into town is very easy and there are numerous restaurants nearby, including one very near, which is quite rustic, but does lovely food at a reasonable price.

With this apartment you can have the best of both worlds - a beach holiday as its so close, and a relaxing around the pool holiday - there were always enough sunbeds. We would all definitely recommend this apartment and will return. (2 Adults, 2 children age 12 & 14.)

Large, luxury two bedroom apartment

My wife, my two two year olds and i stayed here for a week in early July. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. (Dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine, hairdryer, kettle, toaster etc). There are a few apartments on this complex available on Homeaway, but the owner of this apartment (number 302), does not charge for internet, provides towels for the swimming pool, and charged us half of what others we trying to charge for cots. He was also very quick to get back to us and extremely helpful.

The apartment has a large balcony and is situated on the upper floor in the middle of the complex. You are therefore able to keep an eye on your stuff at the pool if you pop in for lunch. The balcony is shaded in the morning and very sunny in the evening. The pool area is all in a good clean condition, and there was just about enough sun beds for everybody who wanted one. Although it did appear as if a few apartments were not occupied at the time.

Despite being on the edge of Quarteira, it is a few hundred metres from the closest beach as well as a few local restaurants. As you walk towards town the frequency of restaurants increases but we were never that impressed by any we tried. There is also a nearby supermarket for when you want to spend nights in. Because of it's location it is very quiet. This was great for us.

Overall we were very happy with the accommodation and the whole rental experience.

Superb apartment in a great location!

The apartment is well furnished and with great views towards the beach and sea. A very spacious and clean property with easily sufficient room for four adults. Convenient for a stroll along the promenade with a host of bars and restaurants, most with reasonably priced and good quality food.

A very large balcony was ideal for some late afternoon sunbathing and a comfortable morning breakfast.

In addition the whole process was well organised by Tom, despite some Home Away hiccups, and the local agent Andrei was helpful and friendly.

Looking forward to returning in the future!
