Dreamy Villa Paradiso
All that it was represented to be!
A perfect vacation house.
Truly the best views in Atrani.
Antonietta was helpful and accommodating of our late arrival time.
Perfect Amalfi Coast Location
This was the perfect location on the Amalfi coast! The villa was just right for two couples and the views from the spacious patio/balcony were incredible. The small village of Atrani was quiet and low key (mostly locals) yet we were only a 5-10 minute walk to the town of Amalfi. There was easy access via bus, ferry and taxi to other coastal locations. Antonietta, the property manager was very helpful during our one week stay.
Three of us stayed for 4 nights, but sure wished we had stayed longer. We also wished that we had booked this as the last destination on our Italian vacation.. so if you are still deciding on your itinerary.. make this last! You will have a nice end to your travels in an extremely beautiful and relaxing place.
The unit is the best in Atrani we were told... and we agreed :) The patio is so perfect and the view is spectacular. I had to work, so sitting out there with my laptop as the sun rose.. ahhhh.. didn't feel like work at all. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice, clean and bedrooms were also very nice and comfortable with great views from the downstairs two. Upstairs bedroom is like a little apartment with a sitting area and terrace (small kitchen too, but they told us not to use it. I am sure you could request to use it if needed).
We didn't use the kitchen to cook, but we did hire a person to come in a make us a dinner one night. So yummy and fun to watch. They have two options for coffee - Nespresso and Italian espresso maker (percolator). They have a few pods to start you off with the Nespresso, but not enough for more than a couple of days. They have pods at the larger markets, but it doesn't say nespresso.. important stuff for us coffee folks. :)
The stairs up to the place are daunting.. we asked for a porter for check in and out for 10 euro a bag.. SO WORTH IT when you have a heavy xl bags! There are approximately 75 steps up, but they are larger and some uneven steps. We didn't mind climbing them up and down to go out and explore though. Not too bad at all and great exercise (unless you have any knee issues, etc - then not a good thing to book this place).
Another tip if you like to watch movies at night.. bring your apple tv or rokku plugin. They have great wifi and we were able to watch tv, netflix and itunes movies in English. We used this at our other condos too.
We walked to Amalfi for dinner and shopping, but appreciated how nice and quiet it was in Atrani .. and only 5 minutes walk away.
Lastly, we really appreciated the driver that picked us up from the airport and took us on a day tour to Pompei and Ravello. Relaxing not to drive anywhere ourselves. (Biaggio was his name).
Don't miss out on this place. It is a gem!
Perfect family retreat
We truly enjoyed our one week family holiday at Villa Paradiso, perfectly located at the tip of the small and cozy coastal town of Atrani. The apartment was clean and spacious and provided for fantastic sea views. Only a 5 minute walk to neighbouring Amalfi and ferry or bus services to many other attractions along the Amalfi coast. A steep but spectacular walk to the beautiful hill town of Ravello is highly recommended.
Exceeded my expectations
The Villa Paradiso was amazing for our family of five. The view of the ocean and Atrani was by far, the highlight. The terrace was amazing at night for cocktails but too warm to enjoy in the mornings. The decor was tasteful and high quality and allowed our family plenty of common space. It was very nice to be a five minute walk to Amalfi for shopping, ferry and plenty of other choices for dinner. There are several flights of stairs to get up to the Villa but we quickly became accustomed to them. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to immerse themselves into the Amalfi coast but not be in the most touristy area.
This place is amazing!
Villa Paradiso was the perfect place for my family of 5. It is wonderfully located. 10 min walk into the town of Amalfi, where there are lots of restaurants and shopping. There are several flights of stairs to get to it but you quickly get used to stairs here since they seem to be everywhere.
We enjoyed the terrace every afternoon. It has an amazing view! Antonietta was very welcoming and helpful with any and all questions we had.
Villa Paradiso is located on the second and last floor of an ancient building with no elevator. From the street level, Approximately 70 stairway steps takes to the main door of the apartment.
The major attractions, shops and restaurants of central Atrani are Within few minutes walk. Regular bus service Operates from the nearest bus stop (20 meters away) to the other towns in the region. To enjoy the beach you need not to walk to Atrani beach is just two flights of steps below the villa.
