Stunningly positioned in the front line of Sol Del Este. Ten yards from the cliff edge and the beautiful, wooden decked cove of Cala Padera. With amazing, un spoilt views of Mahon port and the island of Llantzeret opposite. 2 private sea-view balconies. The house has a living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin and 1 single (plus pull-out mattress), bathroom. The house has a TV, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave and DVD. Each bedroom has either a ceiling fan or electric fan. Cot, High Chair, Baby Gate available for hire.

The apartment benefits from parking. A small shop and pleasant cafe bar are a minute's walk away. Es Castell and the picturesque Cales Fonts pretty harbour is just 10 minutes walk away.

Es Castell, previously named Villa Carlos, is full of history and charm. One of the best locations on the island for summer evenings and lunch time meals in the town's side streets or down in the delightful harbour sides. The town's fishing harbour - Cales Fonts and has become a little haven of restaurants and bars (no loud music ) favoured by locals and tourists alike. A truely genuine atmosphere not found in beach tourist locations and which attracts people from these resorts from all over the island. Founded in Georgian times as a military town this influence can be seen in the town's architecture and layout. Es Castell is now the fashionable place for locals to live and this all adds up to make this a great place to visit or stay in.

Es Castell has every concievable thing you need within walking distance in the town and larger supermarkets at Sant Luis and Mahon are just a 10min drive away.

The two fishing harbours Cales Corb and Cales Fonts define the character of the town providing delightful water side promenades for daytime or evening strolls. With great Bars and Restaurants along the waterside and in the town's little side streets. Good selection of shops, mini supermarkets, banks (inc ATMs), Bars and Restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Carrer Gran , the main shopping road has a number of Bar-Restuarants serving good value set menus day and evening and will be lower priced than those on the water front.

Cosmopolitan Mahon is also close by (25 minute walk/ 10 minute drive).

The airport is a 15 minute drive away and beautiful beaches between 15-30 minutes.

About The Owner

The apartment was bought as a holiday home by our family in 2002, and we all take regular trips out to Menorca each year!!

My stepdad Ewen and mum Debbie are keen boaters, so their holiday excusions usually involve the water, whereas I have two young children so our excursions are usually beach or swimming pool related, including trips to the local zoo and waterparks!

When my mum and I manage to escape the boys and children....we like to venture to Mahon for some retail therapy and a glass of sangria!

We have decided to start renting the property out....so you too can share the beauty of this gorgeous island and our overseas home!

My brother and his girlfriend are in their twenties and they also love it here....they enjoy the more historic side of Menorca island, closely followed by a visit to the trendy and quirky cocktail bars and restaurants that often play live music and that are really atmospheric!

Menorca as a island is fantastic and there is plenty to suit everyone, trust me!

Our two floor apartment is typically Menorcan with tiled floors, spanish furnishings, wooden shutters and unspoilt views!! We love using it as a holiday base or spending the entire day boat-spotting or sunbathing on the balconies!

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is at the entrance of the world famous Mahon port...so its amazing to see exactly what boats are coming in and out....a range of sail boats, super yaughts and rowing boats pass by.....not to mention the huge passenger ferry that my kids love spotting coming about the sky-line!

The apartment is situated in quiet privately owned complex which is peaceful and quiet all of the time....the perfect place!!

Lovely holiday

My partner and myself stayed in this lovely house in Sept 2017 for one week, the house was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed, the view from the balcony over Cala Padera was just perfect and the lovely harbour of Cala Fonts was only a short walk away, the owners gave us all the information we needed about house and any questions that we had they were very quick to reply, would we go again ? most definitely ! If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday then this is the place to go.

Lovely characterful sea front town house/apartment. Fabulous views of the entrance to Mahon harbour from the balcony. Ideal for watching the passing boats whilst enjoying breakfast/lunch/dinner/drinks on a night.

A small living area apartment with 2 bedrooms up stairs and one downstairs.

Excellent location and view.

Great place to use as a base. Easy parking. Brilliant views and situation. There were 5 of us so a squeeze to all fit on the balcony at the same time. Kitchen was well equipped but max of 2 manouvering in at one time. Loads of narrow stairs, not suitable for large or older folk. Front door was sticky but the patio door was extremely difficult to open - skinned knuckles. Only 2 balconies and not really suitable to lie out and sun bathe on.

Very clean and well equipped apartment and fantastic evening views and sun. Handy for Cala Fonts evening walk.

Home from home with fabulous view.

My partner and I had a fabulous week in this lovely little house. The view over the water was beautiful and we really enjoyed eating outside watching the boats, including the odd liner, passing by our quiet cove. The easy parking was a huge bonus, and the ten minute walk to numerous bars and restaurants made this a perfect location. The modern washing machine and excellent shower were appreciated,! I will definitely come here again, maybe for winter walking to try out the woodburner! Thanks for a great stay

Not the largest apartment you could find, but it certainly packs a punch with its view.

It also has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Good location with a cafe/restaurant 5 mins walk. With Cala Fonts dining only 15 mins walk, great meals and good times.

Supermarkets, cafe's and bars all within 15 mins walk.

Bus stop to Mahon also 12-15 mins walk away.

Can't be bad.

Bay of Mahon - Es Castell is a charming seaside town on Menorca’s southeast coast. It’s a relaxed, peaceful place that revolves around its 2 harbours – Calas Fons and Calas Corb. These two spots are where you’ll find laid-back bars, rustic eateries and souvenir shops selling ornate ceramics. Along both harbours there are views across a sweeping bay, while a 15-minute drive brings you to Menorca’s capital, Mahon.

Fiesta of Sant Jaume - This annual fiesta builds up to the feast day of James the Greater, Spain’s patron saint. It’s a wild, 24/7 week – you can see a paella cook-off in the main square, walk to a foam party at Cala Padera, or listen to swing music at Calas Fons. The highlight every year is the jaleo – or commotion – where beautiful Menorcan horses gallop through the main square.

Daytrips to Mahon - Mahon is just up the road. This is the centre of Menorca’s 2 specialities – gin and shoes. There’s the 18th-century distillery where you can try free samples, and the Industrias Artesanas, a shoe factory where you can watch the fine leather shoes being made. Just a short stroll away is La Mola Fortress, a mid-18th-century Spanish fortress that’s in very good condition.
