Our stay, 4 x nights, family wedding.
The property is an extension to a row of original properties, ground and first floor.
Visitor parking for one car, small outside space at the front and side, washing line, table and chairs.
Warm welcome from Dave, the Owner. he allowed us into the property early, the flight times had been changed to Newquay.
Dave provided a welcome pack of milk, Prosecco, tea, biscuits, and even soya milk for dietary needs on arrival.
Very much appreciated.
Comments for the future: no none slip mat for use in the shower, no folder giving general instructions, eg local waste and recycling system, no appliance instructions, eg cooker, TV. Dave had placed an informative notice re heating on the boiler. and his contact numbers on a notice board.
Free Wifi, which I used to research the local waste and recycling system.
We bought a sieve, (present for No. 9 !), needed a tea strainer, none to be had in the shops in Newquay!
We thought a pan steamer set would be very useful.
Microwave available, (the floor base showing signs of rust), all plastic containers, which we no longer use in microwave ovens.
We made up the lower bunk bed ourselves, (had originally requested a second bed on booking), snoring issues!
The beds very comfortable. white towels and linen, we use our own personal towels whenever away, and I bought a towel for use on the shower floor, we didn't
want to soil the white mats, etc. No kitchen hand towel, we borrowed one from our family.
Good iron and ironing board to refresh the packed creased wedding clothes. Secure parking for our hire car, took practice to park as tight manoevrings, which had been thoughtfully white lined to give as much space and guidance as possible.
Excellent location, property slightly raised, faced onto main road, but not noisey, double glazed.
Small fridge with freezer compartment, we tend to eat in, (dietary needs), for 4 nights fridge was adequate.
Our weather, wind, torrential rain, heat wave, all in four days!
Not cold, and the heating could be boosted by just turning the thermostat, very effective and easy instructions on Dave's notice.
Only boosted twice for a very few minutes.
Good property for small family, and/or couples.
Very homely and good value.
Second time I have stayed here, both occasions I have been met with a warm welcome from both Dave and Lynn. Ideal two bedroom holiday home close to all amenities. Very clean and modern.
Perfect property clean tidy ,great location .
Nice property clean tidy . Everything close by great for sites in the local area
Perfect home from home
Lovely cosy property with comfortable furnishings. Lynn and Dave made us feel very welcome. Nice location on the edge of town. This was our second visit to the property and we are looking forward already to our next visit.
Thanks for your positive review, we always try our very best to make our guests stay in our holiday home as good as we possibly can. Looking forward to seeing you soon..
Cosy and clean
Had a lovely time here came to see bloodhound run. Great day at st Michaels mount and lands end sunset.
From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Dave and Lynn and nothing was too much trouble even got a bottle of prosecco and biscuits which was a very nice touch, the property is only approx 15 minutes walk from the coastal path into Newquay but bus stops are close to the property (it is only approx 30 minutes walk down Henver road anyway). The property has everything you need including menus for local takeaways, bus timetables, etc local co op 200 yards away and spar approx 400 yards away if you choose to eat in the property. We will definitely be staying at this property again.
