Chestnut Cottage, sleeping four, is situated in quiet Wiltshire countryside close to the historic National Trust village of Lacock and about 12 miles from the World Heritage City of Bath.
The architect-designed holiday cottage is located in the grounds of our own barn next to two other similar cottages (Maple and Cherry) and features exposed oak beams, a galleried upper twin bedroom as well as a downstairs double bedroom and shower room. The stairs to the upper bedroom are steep with a handrail on either side
The cottage has a tiled, open plan kitchen, living and dining area and a glazed end wall with a garden view giving a light and airy feel. There are French doors at the front opening out on to a small patio area with garden furniture and barbecue.
The Shaker style kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker with oven, dishwasher and microwave.
The double bedroom downstairs has plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The shower room with wash basin and WC is also downstairs. Steep stairs with a handrail on either side lead to a mezzanine galleried twin-bedded room with a wooden floor. This is not suitable for unsupervised young children but older children love it.
The cottage shares a separate utility room containing a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer . All heating ,electricity and hot water is included in the tariff as is all bed linen, towels and tea-towels. There is private, off-road parking adjacent to the cottage.
