Our stay here was a mixed bag of positives and negatives. The view from all windows was great. The rooftop terrace a wonderful place to relax and watch the sunset over the ocean. The beds were comfortable enough and the bathrooms, while small, were clean and had good water pressure. Kitchen is large enough to work in and living/dining room spacious as well.
I would caution that the spiral staircase does not have a railing and was very hard for the eighty year olds in our group to maneuver. I would expect it to also be hazardous for children. Also, the entire place could use just a little attention to detail, for example we had several burned out lightbulbs in the fixtures.
On the down side, the town does not have much going on, and just a few places to eat within walking distance. And sadly, the road in front of the house seems to be the "cruising" strip for the local youth. Motorcycles and cars with radios blaring until middle of the night. Earplugs were needed to sleep.
All in all, we were happy with our stay here and felt the price was fair.
An amazing property in an amazing location in an amazing country
Just the two of us in a spacious house for two weeks in February.
We had a wonderful fortnight in this great property. Carlos was charming and was really layed back with no rule books of dos and don’ts. Just left it up to us to be responsible guests. I hope we didn’t dissapoint!.
We love driving so we were out and about most of the day and then back home for g and t’s on the fabulous terrace to sunbathe and eventually watch the sun go down with great views over Tenerife.
A bonus was to have our own parking slot. When you get there you will understand how valuable this is.
We were not expecting three fabulous restaurants ranging from one minute walk away to ten minutes.
To sleep listening to the sea gently wash up on the beach is the best.
The sea was too cold for us (in Feb) but it didn’t seem to faze the locals but we did swim in Las Salinas near Puerto de las Nieves which incidentally was one of our favourite places.
One of our best holidays ever (and we have had a lot)
It was great having you and your wife in sardina. Hope yo see you again, mi best wishes.
Unusual house but cold and noisy
An unusual house, with many stairs, built against the rock face of the bay, which overlooks the small beach and harbour. Large roof terrace (with barbecue) with a view of Tenerife. One drawback is almost no sun penetrates the house in winter (though there is sun on the roof terrace), which makes the house cold and damp. One tiny, almost useless heater and one dehumidifier are all you have to counteract this. A second drawback is noise - and plenty of it - on weekend evenings when all the macho yokels race down to visit the harbour and a neighbouring take-away, to show off their exhausts and their loud stereos. This can go on until 2-3 am so avoid this house if your sleep is easily disturbed. The main problem however is the drab town. There is little to see in the area apart from the tiny Puerto Sardina itself. You would be better off in Agaete.
Lovely setting and views but bit noisy
This is a fantastic house with superb sea views ideally located by a small beach. Limited restaurants in the area and those that are there close at 8 apart from weekends so a car is necessary. Only complaint, and it’s not the owners fault, there is a takeaway next door but one which becomes a boy racer meeting place every weekend until the early hours. Ear plugs recommended for then otherwise no issues. Would definitely recommend this house as a nice peaceful getaway apart from the boy racer issues.
Tolle Lage, tolles Haus!
Sardina is a fishing village, the house is located directly opposite the beach a few meters from it. ideal for relaxing, swimming, sunbathing. In the same port there's a diving school as sardine funds are considered among the best of the Canary Islands. Galdar coast is a great place for surfing and bodyboarding. A 5 km is the city of Galdar place where you can go shopping
