Holetown, which lies on the prestigious and stunning Platinum Coast of Barbados, has a wide selection of interesting shops (from the Chattel Village to the luxurious Lime Grove), as well as a varied selection of wonderful restaurants and great bars.

Apartment 66 is located in the very popular area of Sunset Crest, in Holetown, and is one of four apartments that make up a single storey condominium on a quiet residential avenue. The Caribbean Sea with palm tree fringed, sandy beaches is less than a five minute stroll from the apartment, ideal for that early morning swim!

This self-catering apartment has one bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, separate lounge, bathroom, with shower, and dining area in the covered veranda at the front. It also benefits from front and back gardens and is set well back from the road.

At the front of the apartment is a covered veranda, screened by two flowerbeds planted with tropical shrubs and palms, which looks out onto the beautiful front garden. On the left hand side there is a dining table and chairs and on the right a seating area. Bi-fold louvered doors, which can be opened fully, lead onto the lounge.

The lounge is comfortably furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, a bookcase, two side tables, a wine rack, a large fridge/freezer and a free standing pedestal fan. There is a hi-fi, with radio and jack socket for connection to mp3 players, and also a telephone for incoming calls and local calls, which are free.

The kitchen, which is off the lounge, is equipped with electric cooker, microwave, toaster and kettle, as well as extensive cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans.

The air conditioned bedroom, at the back of the property, has a Queen size bed with bedside tables either side. There is ample storage with a huge built in cupboard with hanging rail, another cupboard and also a chest of drawers.

The bathroom is next to the bedroom and there is also a back door giving access onto the garden. Ample supplies of clean towels and bed linen are provided for guests.

There is parking provided in front of the property, should you wish to rent a car.

For the duration of their stay guests at Apartment 66 are entitled to free membership of The Beach House, just 5 minutes walk from the apartment and adjacent to the beach and sea. Guests can benefit from the use of the private members swimming pool , the changing facilities, showers, toilets and sun loungers.There is also access to the bar and restaurant which opens at 11am, serves lunch from 12pm and dinner until 9:30pm.

Sandy Crest Medical Centre is very conveniently located just around the corner at the end of the avenue.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to many different countries around the world, including Japan, Canada, Iceland and Croatia but, for me, nowhere compares with Barbados. I first visited in 1995, staying in Sunset Crest, and I instantly felt at home, so much so that I vowed to one day buy an apartment there and this dream became a reality in 2005.

I try to visit Barbados at least twice a year and when I'm not there I rent my apartment out and I hope guests of Apartment 66 will feel at home themselves.

It may be a small island but there is so much to see and do, people to meet and friends to make. I do hope you enjoy your stay!

From Apartment 66 it is just a 5 mins walk to the beach and not much further to the center of Holetown and all the shops, restaurants and bars. There is free membership to The Beach House with use of their pool and facilities.

I have tried to furnish and decorate Apartment 66 so that no only do you feel at home but you get a real sense of where you are, in beautiful Barbados, and not just a souless generic holiday rental.

We really loved Spencer's apartment which had such a welcoming and relaxing vibe, a real home from home! The apartment, one of four in a single storey building set back from the road, is on a peaceful avenue two roads inland from the coastal highway, so not noisy and not far from the beach. The apartment has clearly been furnished with love and care, not the usual bland and boring rental style of other sunset crest apartments we have stayed in. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the beautiful garden and were delighted to encounter a troop visiting monkeys on several occasions. Holetown, and all it has to offer, is a short stroll away and we had some wonderful meals out but we did eat in too. The kitchen was very well equipped and we made good use of the Barbecue too, fresh fish from the market cannot be beaten! We had a great stay and have already booked a return. Thank you, Spencer!

Fabulous apartment in a great location!

The apartment is very well appointed, immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable. Spencer is a great host and all communication before, during and after, was very professional and efficient. The location of the apartment is convenient for the shops, the beach, Holetown bars and restaurants and to local transport services. The use of the Beach House facility is fantastic too. This accommodation comes highly recommended! You’ll enjoy the stay :-)

Excellent self-catering place in Holetown

This is one of a number of bungalows about five minutes walk from the beach, main supermarket, bus stops and some bars in Holetown. It has one bedroom, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a large porch set up as a dining area. There are pleasant gardens front and back shared with three similar bungalows. You also get membership of the nearby Beach Club, which has a pool and waterfront bar. The bungalow is comfortable, clean and well equipped and would suit a couple. There is no wifi (though Beach Club has it) and no television, which didn't worry us though might miss it. Its easy to travel by bus along the west coast to Bridgetown or Speightstown and to make connections elsewhere at either of those places. The owner providers very helpful and detailed instructions to the bungalow and local amenities.

Great base to explore Barbados

To celebrate our twentieth anniversary, we decided to make a dream come true and visit the Caribbean. Although we arrived at the end of the holiday season, we weren't disappointed and the apartment and island lived up to our expectations. Practically deserted paradise beaches were just a stone's throw away, and the weather was gorgeous. In our eight days there, there were a handful of brief showers, however these were welcome coolers, rather than anything that would keep you confined indoors.

One thing we weren't prepared for though was the expense of most commodities, with the notable exception of rum. $20 water melon anyone? It was tasty though, and lasted a week!

Would definitely recommend a boat ride where you can snorkel and swim with sea turtles and tropical fish, although if you're a confident swimmer there's a 1976 shipwreck, home to tropical fish, just 100m from aforementioned paradise beach, just five minutes walk from apartment.

Local restaurants are excellent, albeit some are slightly pricey, and we had access to a local pool and bar, courtesy of the owner.

We reacted to the mosquitoes more so than on European trips, so repellent is advisable, and the tree frogs sounded like car alarms on the first night and we wondered if we'd ever sleep, however we didn't notice them subsequently, although this may be related to our discovery of the local rum!

Both the owner and local contact couldn't have been more helpful, whilst also respecting one's privacy.

If you're seeking a comfortable base to explore Barbados, look no further.

Perfect place to stay.

We just returned from a month staying in this apartment. It was exactly as described, very comfortable, nicely furnished, clean, and central. It was easy to contact the person who manages it out there, and the location was perfect. Lovely lush green outlook, and it's quiet yet walk a100yds and you're in the centre of Holetown. The supermarket is less that 10 minutes walk away, the beach only a 5 minute walk. Lots of lovely restaurants. Everything Holetown has to offer is on your doorstep. We'd go back tomorrow if we could, and for 2 months next time. We liked Chris's Bar and Variety store. It's a chattel house at Rock Dondo, can't describe it, but it's a bar/restaurant/shop, excellent food, and soooooo friendly. The whole island is a friendly place with contented people, makes for a real holiday. Try it.

Barbados is 21 miles long by 14 miles wide. Holetown is located halfway up the West Coast.There are numerous restaurants & bars in Holetown all within walking distance of the apartment. There are many shops, two shopping centres, one with a large supermarket and the other is the renound Lime Grove which also has a cinema.A car is not necessary but it is fun to hire & drive around the island taking in the beautiful & varying scenery.Car hire can be arranged for collection from the airport or delivered to the apartment.Buses leave Holetown going all over the island & are regular & cheap and there are many taxis. To the north is the 'Scottish' district - rolling hills, small mountains, rainforests.To the east lies the rugged Atlantic coast. To the South there is the capital Bridgetown ,further on past the south coast beaches is the famous Oistins Fish market and further still many secluded bays and beaches along the south east coast.

The international airport is approximately 30 - 40 minutes drive away. Taxi costs approx £20.
