by the sound of cicadas, the slowed-down time, reading a book
surrounded by century-old olive trees.
This place is where you’ll be able to truly experience Apulia and its magic, far from the modern-day chaos.
Choose it for:
living Salento like people from Salento, with their most authentic traditions
a relaxing and regenerative vacation
the exclusive experience of living in a pajara
The house is a typical Salentine pajara in the small village of Sternatia, in the heart of Grecìa Salentina, where pizzica, Taranta and the traditional local music were born. It’s a few km far from Lecce and the beaches of the Adriatic coast (Otranto, San Foca, Torre dell’Orso).
The stone, the true protagonist of the farmhouse
One of the strong points of the property, is the olive grove that surrounds it, with 20.000 square meters
of Mediterranean vegetation that guarantees full privacy. Once you
arrive in the heart of the estate, what captures your attention is the
majesty of the local stone that covers every corner of the house and guarantees fresh and aired spaces.
The farmhouse keeps some of the typical objects of the peasant’s culture, like the sink made in stone and the wooden plate rack.
The vine bower
In the front there are a vine bower and a covered patio that
guarantee a shaded area even in the hottest hours of the day. There,
you can find deckchairs where you can read or listening to music close
The house develops itself on 120 square meters that consists of a large living room with sofa bed and a pouf/bed, the habitable kitchen, a master bedroom and a bathroom.
The bedroom in a trullo
house is completed and made perfect by the characteristic trullo, made
with the typical stones of Salento. The trullo consists of a master
bedroom, a pouf/bed and a bathroom with shower.
The house is equipped with air conditioning and it’s the ideal for families or small groups of friends.
