It has two double bedrooms and one of them en suite bathroom with whirlpool bath, there are cribs and cribs available for babies. Very disappointing experience with construction work in an attached house. Owner ignores situation.

Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience staying in this property in June. We came a long way from Iceland for one week with a family of nine, including a baby.

This "villa" is actually a house with another house attached to it. What is worse, the attached house is under re-construction. We were therefore renting a house adjacent to a construction site! There was disturbance and noice throughout the day, hammering, drilling and sawing, including work on the other side of our living room wall. It woke us up in the morning, and it was particularly disturbing in the outside areas and by the pool during the day. Additionally, the building plot next door was of course not a nice sight. We decided to spend the time during the working day mostly away from the house.

The owner did not seem to recognize the severity of the matter. She first said that she would talk to the workers, but then ignored the situation. She never came by to observe and discuss this with us (she said that she had once come by early in the morning and suggested the noise was less than described!). All communication was through mail.

There is no mention of the attached house or construction site in the description of the "villa". This is unacceptable when presenting for rent an expensive property. We would not have rented the house knowing the real situation.

We made other comments to the owner, e.g: There was an ant-"farm" inside by the kitchen door and the floor there was sprawling with ants; the washing maschine was not working and was only repaired on our last full day in the house, the owner didn´t seem to believe that something was wrong since the maschine was apparently new but we really needed it!; furniture by the pool is weak and one chair broke on the first day. Additionally, there are only four bedrooms in the house, not five as according to descriptions. Those and other issues were however minor compared to the construction site next door!

The owner was nice when we first met her and stayed up late to meet us. However, when the problems came up she was not responsive and avoided the circumstances. She did not even show up on our departure check-out due to apparent other engagements.

We took pictures and recordings of the construction work, for reference if needed.

We suggested to the owner that we as a minimum expected an apology and a significant discount of the rent. She has ignored this request so far, we still await reaction.

Owner's Response: I wil not waste my time in responding to Mr. Gudmundur's assesstment, since during his stay he has taken more than necessary from his excessive criticism and attitudes. Despite having offered a refound for the last few nights, the gentleman not only did not accept it but also extorted me by asking me to discount him 25 % of his stay ( an attitud so fashionable in recent times ) that he writes so clearly in the home away chats. Just read the evaluations of the guests who stayed in the chalet inmediately after their stay, to quickly understand what this gentleman intended from the first day he arrived at the chalet. i had to wait for him on saturday to check in at two in the morning, even if it was not the agreed time , and the purchase made for his and his family's breakfast, as he asked me a week before arriving. i think I have been correct at all times whith my host althought it seems that we have different commercial and personal codes.

Amazing time

My friends and I had an amazing time in this house.

The house is beautiful, the exterior is amazing (pool, barbecue space..). Everything is clean and we missed nothing. The interior is very comfortable. Madrid is at 25 minutes from the house very easy to get a cab and go to the center.

The host is available was avaialble at any time if we need her.

We will come back for sure !

Wonderful Village

The Claudia's house is a wonderful village located at 30 minutes of Madrid. The decoration is really special and has a lot if details that will let you to stay like at your home. The garden is very nice and the swiming pool is enought big to enjoy a sunny day. Claudia is a love and will attend you very well

A Great place outside of the city

A Great place outside of the city, the house is very beautiful and comfortable, clean and tidy, the garden the pool and the barbacue great. Claudia ia a wonderful host and was ready to assist us whith all our needs. The encounter with nature and the tranquility of the site made this place a total recommended, has an excelente taste in decoration and in the arrangement of each part of the house, we will returne!!
