A modernised, well equipped and spacious 1 bedroom apartment, located within the popular village of Arroyo De La Miel, Benalmadena. Ideal for couples or families to rent with a choice of short or long term rental options. Only a short distance from the beach, local amenities and entertainment venues, of which there are many to suit all tastes.

Very friendly place especially in the winter and off peak very popular with people who like to venture away on their own during the cooler autumn/winter and spring months. Many people choose to spend the entire winter in Benalmadena as there is plenty going on in the area and everyone is welcome. Personally this is my favourite time of year in the Costa del Sol.

The apartment is only a short taxi ride from Malaga airport (approx 15-20 mins)

I DECIDED TO BUY AN APARTMENT IN SPAIN AS I WAS COMING ON HOLIDAY HERE EVERY YEAR WITH MY DAUGHTER, AND HAD STARTED TAKING SHORT BREAKS IN THE WINTER WHICH I FOUND TO BE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE TO THAT IN THE SUMMER. I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THESE SHORT TRIPS AWAY AND FOUND IT SO RELAXING THAT I DECIDED TO BUY MY OWN APARTMENT AND MAKE IT A HOME FROM HOME EXPERIENCE. AS I SAID PREVIOUSLY. I HAD BEEN COMING BACK AND FORTH TO THESE APARTMENTS SINCE 2007, FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES HAVE GOT APARTMENTS IN THE SAME COMPLEX, THEY ARE CLEAN AND AIRY, 24 HR RECEPTION COVER, EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY AND THEY ARE IDEALLY SITUATED. A SHORT WALK INTO THE SPANISH VILLAGE OF ARROYO DE LA MIEL AND THE TRAIN STATION AND LOCAL BUSES, AND IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION A SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH AND MARINA AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS INCLUDING THE PALOMA PARK WHICH IS GREAT FOR THE CHILDREN. THE SWIMMING POOL HAS A LIFEGUARD 7 DAYS A WEEK WHICH IS REASSURING ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN. IT WAS AN IDEAL CHOICE FOR ME.

This is a self catering apartment, offering 24hr reception for safety and reassurance. Due to the amount of apartments that the Agent on site looks after, we are not able to provide a groceries service or a welcome pack. The Supermarkets, bars, local shops and restaurants are all open late locally.

FANTASTIC LOCATION WITH EVERYTHING CLOSE AT HAND.

GREAT PLACE FOR COUPLES, GROUPS OF FRIENDS AND FAMILIES, SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. THIS LOCATION IS GREAT IN THE WINTER AS WELL AS THE SUMMER. LOVELY ALL YEAR ROUND.

Excellent location and well equipped apartment. Unfortunately weather not warm for part of it and felt that a few rugs could have been put on floor for winter lets and easily removed for summer. Would defnitely stay again when looking in 2020.

BETTER WELCOME WOULD HAVE BEEN NICER.

Flat well equipped with a nice view from the balcony. Well located only 2 minutes on foot from the centre « Arroyo de la Miel ».

However, we think in your details of the apartment you should advice that is a charge for air-conditioning and for the sun-beds by the pool, which we were not advice again, that the pool was closed from the 15th October till the middle of May 2018.

Moreover, we were very disappointed by the arrival welcome. We were just giving the key to the apartment at the reception without any information regarding where the apartment was. We do think the minimum is to be accompanied to the apartment and shown the facilities. All being part of the welcome.

On the arrival in the apartment, we found things that we feel the apartment was not checked properly. Before we arrived, as the lights in the sitting room, the cooker hood and one of the electric socket did not work as the electric lighter for the gas cooker and no matches.

Unfortunately, the weather became colder and the heater did not have gas in the bottle, which, we feel should have been checked for a rental at this time of the year.

I do think consideration should have been made that we arrived at 2:30 pm on a Sunday, when shops are closed to be able to get items we needed (matches or a gas lighter that works). I think a good idea as a goodwill gesture would be to leave items like matches and a bottle of water.

Apartamento muy bien equipado con una vista agradable. Bien localizado, a sólo 2 minutos del centro del « Arroyo de la Miel ».

Sin embargo, creemos que en la descripción de su piso usted debería saber que hay que pagar un dinero extra para el aire condicionado y para la tumbona de la piscina. Además, nosotros no estábamos informados de que la piscina estaba cerrada de 15 Octubre hasta él proximo mes de Mayo de 2018.

Por otro lado, estuvimos decepcionados a nuestra llegada por la manera de acogernos. Nos dio la llave del piso en la recepción sin información y tampoco nos acompañó hasta donde estaba el piso. Cuando llegamos al piso, encontramos cosas que nos demostraron que el piso no fue comprobado correctamente.

Había muchas luces que no funcionaban, el fuego para cocinar tampoco y no había cerillas para encender la cocina de gas.

Empezó a hacer mucho frío y necesitábamos la calefacción pero la botella del gas estaba vacía. Pensamos que debería haberse comprobado antes de nuestra llegada, como suele hacer un buen anfitrión, especialmente en invierno

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your review. I appreciate any negative comments as well as positive in order that I can address any issues for other guests. I would like to point out however that in the property description under the facilities tab, the Pool being closed between Mid May and Mid October is stated clearly, as is the small charge for sunbeds and Air con. All guests are provided with a Welcome Letter prior to their holiday and the details for collection of the key at reception is clearly stated, also the location of the lifts and the location of the apartment is all clearly stated in the letter. No guest has ever requested to be met at reception and formally welcomed. In fact I don't think I have ever been formally met at any hotel or apartment and formally shown around the accommodation. Apologies if this was expected, but this is not a service that is offered. I have never received any complaints of this nature in the past, and speaking to the Agent they have never known this to be the case for any apartment. Thank you for highlighting that a light was not working, I encourage my guests to report any issues so that they can be rectified as soon as practicable, I have spoken to the Agent and they have advised that the heater I provide for the winter months had been used by yourselves and had merely run out of gas, these things do happen but I believe that it was replaced immediately. All the lighting had been checked by myself and my husband in November when we were staying in the apartment so I was genuinely surprised to hear that a light wasn't working. I had a new supply of bulbs in the cupboard and I believe the issue was rectified quickly. As a self catering apartment being managed for me by Andy and Tracey who live on site it is not normal practice to supply items such as matches etc. Often items are left behind by other guests but I do not supply such items myself. I believe that the major supermarkets are closed on a Sunday, but there are many smaller general stores that are open on a Sunday and late into the evening where groceries etc can be purchased, a number of such stores are within a short walking distance. On a few occasions by prior request the Agent has provided basic groceries for guests mainly when they were arriving late at night. Once again I thank you for your comments and I have passed these onto the Agent for their attention. Many thanks Karina

LOVELY SPOTLESS APARTMENT

Arrived back Saturday from a week in Karina's apartment. My partner and myself have visited Benalmadena several times always staying in hotels near the marina. We thought we would try self catering for a change and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We caught the train from the airport to Arroyo de la Miel station for about 2 euros each which was really easy and then a taxi to the apartment although it was only about a 10 minute walk. On arriving at reception we were given the key and directions to the apartment. We were very happy with the apartment which was spotless and very well equipped with absolutely everything you could need. It is in a lovely quiet location with many bars and restaurants nearby. it is about a 10 minute stroll to the beach and marina but took a little longer getting back as it is all uphill. However, this helped to keep us fit after overindulging with the lovely food we had. Buses run up the hill so no problem if you don't want to walk and fares are very cheap. We were recommended CBs restaurant which is all homemade food and we ate there 3 times and it was delicious. Being near the station we caught a train to Fuengirola market which was huge and then had a few hours on the beach there. We also went to Mijas by bus which was cheap and was such a beautiful place with spectacular views and plenty of restaurants and shops. Cable cars run up the mountain with breathtaking views and there is a theme park close by for children.All in all we had a lovely week beautiful weather and would definitely do self catering again.

Very good apartment.

Excellent location in a clean, tidy and secure apartment. Suitable for 2 people. Ideal for our needs. Arroyo is a fabulous area returning again in the summer with my family. Lots of lovely tapa bars and good base to explore with good rail and bus links.
