2 Bed Newly Renovated Executive Apartment with Private Pool. 7 min from beach

This condo is a comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit. This apartment forms part of a 5 dwelling newly renovated property situated within the well known community of Fort George Heights. It is within walking distance to our Garfield Sobers Gymnasium complex, public transport and a 15 minute walk to Dover Beach, Wildey, Haggatt Hall and Warrens with their many amenities including Doctor’s Offices, banks and shopping. Apartment is on the ground floor, has a main entrance with covered patio towards the front of the building and facing the South – a great space to enjoy lovely afternoons and a second entrance to the West which will prove to be convenient. It is of an open plan concept with the kitchen inclusive of breakfast bar facing the cozy living and dining area. The two bedrooms are towards the East of the property both complete with built in closets and vanity, the Master bedroom also has an additional walk-in closet, the shared bathroom with shower is located between the two bedrooms. Apartment can be described as a comfortable and easy to maintain dwelling; it has free internet, wrought iron at the windows, a pool and deck, shared laundry area and drying yard, shared parking, and newly landscaped gardens surrounding it. It has a lot to offer and easily assessable!

I love Fort George Heights. It is a closes knit friendly neighborhood. The location is very central any Bajan will tell you “Fort George Heights is 10 minutes from everything”. Also, it is one of the most sought after area that is very safe. You will definitely meet very nice people residing in Fort George and love everything the area has to offer

Excellent apartment

I absolutely loved this apartment. The location was excellent. It was close to the beach, restaurants, grocery, and shopping mall. Also, the private pool was amazing and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a quiet well kept apartment to vacation.

Thoroughly enjoyable

My husband and I had a wonderful two month holiday in Barbados staying at Shaun Lynda's vacation home. All of our expectations were met and we were often visited by the property manager to ensure all was well. From the moment we arrived, to the time we left, we were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the people. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and most days, we had the beautiful pool all to ourselves. Green monkeys visited the mango tree by the pool, which was a delightful surprise. Deciding not to rent a car for our stay, we traveled all over the island by bus, ZR bus, and taxi. We met so many gracious Bajans who were anxious to hear our stories, share our faith, help with directions, and provide information about their country. The front deck was a perfect place to wile away the hours, out of the sun, enjoying the beauty of Barbados. We visited Harrison Caves, Bathsheba Beach, Andromeda Botanical Gardens, toured the island by bus, went to a horse race, and visited multiple beaches. We enjoyed Gospelfest Barbados, and were blessed each week by attended the First Baptist Church in Bridgetown. Our favorite places to lunch were Bubba's Sports Bar and the cafeteria at Cafe Shephard in Bridgetown, which offers yummy local cuisine. We would recommend this location for long or short term stays.

You definitely need a car

We enjoyed our stay! The price was reasonable. Beautiful area, but you definitely need a car to shop for food and to do the beaches. We been coming to Barbados for the past 3 years and are familiar that there is no sidewalks and dangerous to walk the roads. It's a 20 minute walk to get to the bus stop and only comes every 2 hours or so and sometime no show. Our friends were living above us and they could not do without a car themselves. Thank God for friends! Some of the issues were taken care of by the time we got there, such as hot water and replacement of the washing machine. There is no land phone in the apartment, therefore you will need to get a mobile phone to communicate with the rest of the world. We managed to open all the windows and enjoy the breeze but unfortunately the smell of Diesel on a daily basis from the local tenants running their engines for 10 minutes in front of our kitchen windows does not help! I met with Shaun a couple of times and recommended that in order not deceive people, that he update his site on the description on the property #651651 as such, it is not a 15 minute walk to the beaches, more like an hour and dangerous, there is no sidewalks. You need a car to get anywhere! Also that it is not wheelchair accessible, no ramps, no safety bars in the shower nor pool rail. There is no dining room, it's a breakfast bar with stools. All in all, Shaun did do his best to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks Shaun!

Must Have Transportation To Get ANYWHERE

The Location is not as advertised: The Closest grocery store is too far to walk and not available by bus. It is a $15.00 cab ride each way, The walk to the closest beach is a 50 minute dangerous walk (without sidewalks and plenty of Traffic) The bus service is very poor at this location. The area is safe and quiet. The pool was very nice. .

It would have been nice to have curtains on the windows. The Lovely Bajan Breeze would have been welcome, had we been able to get the windows open in the bedroom. The lack of hot water in the unit needs to be addressed.

Owner's Response: I am sorry your stay did not meet your expectations for your 3 month stay. I wish you would of addressed your concerns within the initial part of your stay so we could found a simple resolution. I know both me and my property manager extended ourselves to both you and your wife. We went as far to install a brand new AC for you bc you were not happy with the current AC. I personally took you and your wife out to dinner and we spent a number of nights having light hearted conversations. So it shocks me that during your three month stay you choose to now voice your concerns. Nevertheless, I wish you and your wife well and hopefully with your next vrbo booking if you are dissatisfied you voice your concerns and allow the owner to properly address your concerns rather than wait to voice your issues after the fact. Great apartment, friendly staff, quiet neighborhood, and sexy private pool.

This is my new home away from home when I am in Barbados. Location was great for me, parking was included. Made use of the private pool. Place is clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again.
