Carbis bay stay
Was not happy that at 8.55am on day of departure owner on door step wanting to enter to clean property - we had not even left - we were ready to leave but felt pressured - think this is very unacceptable
Dear Guest, thank you for your overall positive rating of your holiday at our wonderful Beachside holiday cottage. From you guest feedback questionnaire we are very pleased that you enjoyed your holiday and the high quality of the accommodation as it's our mission to maintain the highest of standards.
We regret that our housekeeping team turned up a few minutes early, they have a number of properties to clean on very busy changeover days and therefore need to commence cleaning at the pre-arranged check-out time.
It is really important to us that our guests enjoy their holiday and so we do offer a later check-out time on request whenever we can. In addition, we also contact guests on arrival day to advise if we are able to offer an earlier check-in time meaning that on a busy weekend changeover, rather than waiting in their cars our guests can often be on the beach in the morning having already dropped off their luggage. This can work fantastically well as guests more or less get an extra day on their holiday to enjoy when most properties operate on a strict 3pm or later check-in.
We stayed at the property due to a family wedding nearby and it did not disappoint. Everything was as described. House was immaculate, location great and contact with owner excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the Carbis Bay area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks Bryan and his brother/team.
Summer in Carbis bay
This property is in the perfect position for walking between beach, train station and food provisions, with a regular bus to Penzance too.
It’s lovely and quiet at night, and has a lovely patio to enjoy breakfast in the sun. Well supplied with BBQ, all kitchen equipment and thoughtful touches of blankets, games, DVDs, books . Space for 2 cars. We had a great holiday for a family of 5 with 3 teenagers, swimming in the safe bay, and hopping in the car 30 minutes away at Porthtowan for the surf.
Fantastic holiday rental. Everything we wanted for our family holiday in beautiful Carbis Bay
A wonderful Week
We spent the most idyllic week at Carbis Bay we could ever have hoped to spend. Everything about it was so easy and relaxing.
The property is brilliantly equipped with everything you could need, to at least for our young family of my wife and I and two young boys.
It is also wonderfully positioned, next to two paths that get you down to the beautiful and quiet Carbis Bay Beach within 5-10 minutes walk.
The train station is a 10-15 minute walk away making trips into the much busier St Ives with all the places to eat and drink or catch boats to seal island etc. just as easy as a day on Carbis Bay beach. It is just one stop to St Ives and a beautiful 4 minute train journey it really is.
There is even a large Tesco for all the supplies you may need a 5-10 walk away.
The property itself is really well appointed and has everything you would expect from a modern home, for to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
I can't recommend the area and the property enough. We had a wonderful time there and will definitely be going back!
We stayed here last year and found everything perfect so my last review said it all
Carbis Bay is just less than 2 miles from St Ives. You can walk along the picturesque coastal path into St Ives in 15 Minutes in one direction or the village, beaches, dunes and West Cornwall golf course of Lelant in the other. If you are looking for the magnificent scenery of St Ives but want a slightly quieter life then Carbis Bay is a great base. The direct access to the St Ives branch railway line means that the car may never be required. Historic St Ives itself is renowned for its cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and cafes, art galleries, beaches and scenery and whether you are simply looking for a week on one of the many beaches, or an energetic mix of surfing, golf, walking or diving, there is something here for you. Further afield, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, beautiful Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Newquay (indoor water world) and St Austell (Eden Project) are all within easy reach either by Car or Train.
