This historic Pass-A-Grille cottage is a step back in time, when life was simpler and the beach life was even better still. Wait - the beach life still is better! Voted #1 Beach in the U.S. and #5 in the world by a major online travel company, Pass-A-Grille has sugary white sand and warm Gulf waters, both only steps from your front door. Located on a quiet street off of Gulf Blvd, this 1000+ sq ft home has lofted ceilings that have the same beautiful hearts of pine wood as the floors throughout. Banks of windows welcome the Florida sunshine and you need only step outside your door to witness the magnificent sunsets that herald the end of another beautiful day on St Pete Beach. The free-form pool has a privacy fence & lush tropical landscaping. It is the perfect retreat for enjoying the Florida lifestyle. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with two twin beds. All bedrooms have new flat screen televisions, as does the living room. The updated kitchen has a range, refrigerator and microwave and overlooks the pool. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and comfort-height toilet. The living room has ample seating for company and is nicely divided for those who want to watch television and those who would prefer to relax, read or visit in front of the wood-burning fire.

Though Pass-A-Grille is a sleepy beach town, it has a vibrant and eclectic downtown area with great spots for dining and shopping. From Evander Preston's custom jewelry to any of the many locally owned gift shops filled with unique gifts. There are no chain stores here! Diversity defines Pass-A-Grille and the lucky few who can call it home year round. For the rest of us, the ability to enjoy this charming location for a few weeks or months is a welcome retreat from demands of our real lives, hundreds or thousands of miles away. Join us and live like a local, eating breakfast at The Seahorse or Hurricane restaurants. Catch a boat at Merry Pier and enjoy a day of deep-sea fishing or go dolphin sighting. If you fancy a trip into 'The City', downtown St Petersburg is only ten minutes drive. The waterfront downtown area boasts many fabulous sidewalk cafes and shops, as well as several world-renown museums. St. Petersburg has the only permanent Dale Chilhuly exhibit and the purpose-built Salvador Dali museum which boasts the largest collection of Dali paintings outside of Spain. There is also the Fine Arts and History Museums, The Mahaffey Theatre and Tropicana Field, home to the Tampa Bay Rays professional baseball team. There is never a shortage of great things to do in Tampa Bay!

This house was great! Really quiet, small, cute street and exactly 40 paces to the sand off the front porch! Neighbors were quiet and friendly when we saw them once. The pool was nice. Furniture is a little dated, but other than that the house has a really great retro, 1950's beach town and "old Florida" charm to it. The town is super cute and can't wait to go back!

A wonderful rustic cottage

Great location, feet from the beach.

Short walk to convenience store and restaurant.

Quiet neighborhood. - parking no problem.

Swimming pool and spa loved by our grand kids

A little more rustic than we expected but still a lovely little cottage.

Some items a little weary and could do with being replaced, ie., drier and outdoor grill.

We've booked again for next year.

Very unique house and loved the backyard pool!

We really enjoyed our stay for the most part and the home was one of a kind! Secluded pool and backyard were very nice. Inside the wooden walls and exposed ceilings were cool as well. Only things we didn't like were the horrible mattress in every room and the lack of a dishwasher. There were also two propane tanks for the grill but both were empty so we had to buy a refill for our one time grilling. Atleast the next guests will have a very full tank!

Overall, I would recommend this for a group of 4 and possibly stay again.

great location, nice cottage

For the money, this spot is excellent. You are steps from the beach. Pass a grille is a quite area perfect for families. The cottage is comfortable and perfect for a max of 4 people. Could use a dishwasher, but has every other creature comfort.

Nice Location, Close to the Beach with a Pool that is Pet Friendly

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay. The property is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded and provided a lot of privacy. The location is great if you like to walk. We walked every morning along the beach to the Pass-A-Grille Beach Grill for coffee.

The property was clean and provided everything we needed. Our only issue was with the pool heating unit located outside the bedroom window. Because of the time of year the unit ran about 80% of the time, the noise was very noticeable in the bedroom.

In all we were very satisfied with the property and would recommend for future visits.
