We stayed with two families of four with young kids. The house was clean and well maintained, and had everything we needed for a great stay. It was easy to put the two families upstairs and downstairs, and while the house felt cozy and personal there was still plenty of space. The kids really enjoyed the back yard and trampoline, and the adults spent the evenings enjoying the back deck. We walked to a few neighborhood playgrounds as well as Pine Street Kitchen for a great dinner. We felt very welcome and hope to visit again in the future.
We stayed at the house for three nights, and it was just as described. It was very spacious and was perfect for our group. Close enough to walk to town and enjoy some good food and craft beer. The walk back is uphill so a little more challenging. About a 20 minute drive to some beautiful areas to hike. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the evenings. The house was well stocked with the staple supplies we needed. The owners were very pleasant and easy to get a hold of when I had a question. I would stay there again if I get back to Hood River.
We stayed here for several nights on a Hood River vacation with a multi-family group which included kids in a range of ages. The house was perfect. It was cheerful, clean and comfortable, and it is well-designed so that there was room enough for everyone. The appliances, washer dryer, and other practical amenities were all modern and functioning. There is a large deck with lots of chairs and a big table which we used for every meal. The lovely backyard is quite big with tons of room for the kids to run around and play. The house is in a good location close to town (and Pine Street Bakery!). The owner was helpful, flexible, and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this house for a Hood River stay.
I was really happy with this house. Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband, 2 toddlers and our nanny. My children are 1.5 and 2.5. The owners were pros; they were easy to communicate with when we arrived and when we left. This house (like many houses) is a little tough for the smallest toddlers mainly because of the stairs (up, down, deck) but also because it was so nice--my kids immediately broke a pretty (but skinny) potted plant, and I had to quickly scour the house for other items of value to protect from them. To save the house, we spent most of our time in the beautiful fenced backyard and walked to the nearby elementary school several times a day to play. We also walked to the nearby coffee shops/bakery/parks. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if these homeowners wouldn't mind the return of my two tiny tornadoes.
Stayed here for 4 nights with visiting parents and our younger children and everyone had a great time. Location is within walking distance to downtown and the heights areas. Super clean, very well stocked and in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended.
