We originally purchased this property as a mountain getaway to unplug and be close to nature. There are several places to hike and fish that are very close to our vacation home. These rentals are situated on 40 acres of rolling hills with the creek running along the back of the property. It is a peaceful retreat away from the fast paced life we live. This is a perfect place to slow things down and enjoy time with family and friends.
This property is located only an hour drive from Nashville, Chattanooga & Knoxville, TN. It is a two hour drive from Atlanta,GA. and only a three hour drive from Birmingham, AL.
We had a great stay the house was very nice. The price was great. Ms. Cunningham was very nice. I would recommend this house highly.
Warm country home with all the amenities need to have a great stay. Great view of Mountains abundant wildlife. Easy to find. close to several Tennessee parks
The Parsonage was the right choice for us. It was plenty big and clean as can be. The location was right in the middle of all the attractions we had planned to see. It was good to have wi-fi too. The only complaint that I would have is that our cell service didn't work however that was not a big deal as we told everyone to call us at the Parsonage. I have recommended this place to my friends since we have gotten back and will continue to do so. Also...we would like to return to the Fall Creek Falls area next year and will book again if available. Thank you Kathy Cunningham for such a pleasant and enjoyable visit.
It's a beautiful quite place to stay with lots of free things to do neat by. The cabin is clean, pretty, with everything you could possibly want or need. It's out on the country but less than 20 miles tho everything. I loved it., and my girls did too. BEST FALL BREAK TRIP YET! !
What a thoughtful and generous host! We found things we weren't expecting like laundry detergent and kitchen complete with plenty of pans and gadgets to prepare some meals for our crew. Having 2 bathrooms was great. Much nicer for all of us than a hotel stay.
We were a family of six adults, two kids and one baby. There was plenty of room for all of us. When initially finding the house we drove past it because the picture on the website only shows half the building...it is attached to what used to be a church. The house was nicely decorated inside and had a large screen tv.We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boat ( needs tiller fixed) and fishing in the wide creek. Had we more time we would have used the fire pit. The only downside is that there is only a small yard to the side of the house and you have to walk a short way on the street to get to the path that goes down to the creek. For small children you have to supervise closely outside as the house is right on the road and cars can go by very fast. The beds were not the most comfortable but everything was very clean. We also enjoyed going to Falls Creek Falls Park about 35 minutes away. Overall a beautiful setting for a family getaway.

If you are driving from Chattanooga, go through downtown and take Hwy 111 towards Dunlap, TN. You will go approximately 45 miles to Spencer, TN. After you go through Spencer on Hwy 111, turn right onto Hwy 285 East. You will go about two miles and take a left at Hickory Valley Road. It is the red brick house up on the right.
