The Sunset Charmer has just been completely renovated, It has all the Old Florida charm with new upgrades. One of the original 1938 Pass-a-grille Beach bungalows with tongue in groove paneling throughout, a working fireplace, granite countertops, rooms are all painted tropical colors, with whimsical artwork. A newly paved courtyard with small pool, private covered seating area and an outdoor dinner table and 4 chairs is between the home and the 1+ car garage. An outdoor shower/foot shower on the side of the home.
Sunset Charmer rental is a 3/2 cottage.
The cottage has:
2 bedrooms each with a queen bed
1 small twin daybed with Sterns and Foster mattress in living room, for a small framed person
1 full bath is in the cottage
The 3rd bedroom is detached from the home - next to the pool - it has 1 twin bed and 1 trundle twin, 1 bath is attached to this poolside room. (shower no tub).
The new kitchen with new cupboards, appliances, lighting, has plenty of storage and is more than adequately supplied, Cusinart coffee pot, blender, toaster, crock pot, pots and pans, plenty of plates, glasses, wine glasses and lots more. High thread count sheets, down pillows, good mattresses, fluffy bath towels and beach towels are all included. Hair dryers, Weber charcoal grill, 4 beach chairs, little children beach toys, 2 brand new beach cruiser bicycles, umbrellas and lots more.
We provide a complementary bottle of wine or a beach bag (tell us your preference) and some water bottles, so you can enjoy the space when you arrive. We also offer you your first breakfast of muffins, butter and coffee. We have information in notebooks about the home and the area, along with menus of local and favorite restaurants.
The pool is smallish. 3,000 gallons of chlorinated water, size of pool is 16' long and 7 feet wide. It is 3.5' - 4' deep. Since it is not a screened in pool, we have 2 leaf covers
to help keep the pool clean.
There is a newly renovated 1/1 full upstairs garage apartment named Pass-a-grille's Treehouse Charmer, VRBO 652704 (apartment is additional - it can be rented with the home or not).
*rental of 3/2 home and 1/1 apartment can be separate or together.

Tom and I purchased this, our 2nd Pass-a-grille property, at the end of 2014. We have been renting out our Pass-a-grille's Waterfront Charmer, also in Pass-a-grille, for 14 years. We love the area, live in the area which makes it very easy to monitor and manage the rentals.

This home was a mess when we purchased but it had great bones!!! We have been diligently dealing with contractors and getting the property up to CODE and to the beauty it can be. (i.e. 'shoveling money' into it ...please don't ask for a discount!!!) It is located in a quiet neighborhood, amongst people who live here year around.
The paved courtyard area has seating and beautiful foliage, with a small pool. The beach is a 2.5 minute walk from the back door. This part of Pass-a-grille Beach is hardly used since parking is a pickle, and it is beautiful.
What a fabulous oasis at Pass-a-grille! This place - with it's cool decor, the little beach house , the pool that's the perfect size, the location - have all been the perfect place for our family vacation. Thanks for such great attention to detail - I hope we can come back again and again.

Our family gathering was so mellow and fun. Pat made sure we were well provided for:
greeting my daughter and her family with warmth and all the groceries and baby supplies they needed. Our grandchildren loved the kid-firendly pool, the games, a ton of beach toys, and all the little touches that put smiles on their faces, and made our week here so much more relaxing for the grown-ups.
The decor is utterly charming, and the kitchen is so well-appointed!
Pass-a-Grille is so walkable, quiet and friendly.

Pat has created an oasis of old charm Florida in her home. I can't say enough starting with the pleasure of meeting Pat through all the comforts provided to make our stay the most enjoyable and relaxing vacation. We hope to return many times in the future!
We rented this apt together with the garage apt for a family Christmas, and it was perfect for us. We had the right amount of togetherness and separation. The units are plain jane on the outside but both very well equipped and decorated and very comfortable. The small poolside bedroom with single trundles is a bit narrow, but perfect for teens and tweens to have their own hangout space. It is a separate building from the other bedrooms, so would not be appropriate for young children. The owner, Pat, was great to deal with. She even brought over a trike for our youngest to use. You'll have all the beach gear you need and two cruiser bikes. The large patio is a perfect gathering spot and the pool, although tiny, was great for the kids, even in December. (A guy came to clean it, but It could use some equipment available on site for us to vacuum up all the leaves that drop into the bottom of the pool every night). Rentals in PAG aren't cheap, but the pristine beach and general quiet retro appeal of PAG make it one of my favorites. Unfortunately, many of the modest, retro beach cottages are being torn down for McManions with very entitled occupants. The only downside of our stay was some unpleasant interactions with a couple of these crabby neighbors, who did their best to make use feel unwelcome. But other than that, this was a lovely stay for us!
This is a charming, beautifully outfitted cottage in Pass-a-Grille which is in the most delightful community around St. Pete. The cottage is extremely comfortable with all the amenities one would want and Pass-a-Grille is the most historic, well preserved community without all the honky tonk that is the rest of the island. Convenient to St. Petersburg via the Bay Way, close to the Don Cesar ( the most wonderful restored original Florida hotel), steps from the most beautiful beach with white sand like velvet and the wonderful Suntan Art Center where one can do a drop in art class, who could ask for more.
We had a terrific stay at this property. Owner provided every amenity we could think of. House was very cute-very beachy decor. Owner was extremely helpful and friendly. This is great spot for a stay on St. Petersburg beach, close enough to walk or bike to everything.
The Sunset Charmer is located in a quiet residential area in the heart of Pass-a-grille just one block from the Gulf of Mexico. Though the back gate is lush foliage a dipping pool and a large newly paved patio area, some of area is is covered but most is open to the sunshine. Lounge chairs, an eating area, Restoration Hardware outdoor wicker chair/ottoman/loveseat make the area special. Outdoor fans help with creating a breeze in the hot weather. An outdoor shower - open to all- is in the pool area too.
Through the back door you are in the dining room, seats 6-8 with additional leaves for table.
New kitchen with new appliances, totally loaded with utensils.
Living area has flat screen HDTV with DVD player. 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed (good mattresses - from Macy's) are decorated in green and pool blue. Between the bedrooms is a full bath. Our 3rd bedroom with a twin and ensuite shower/toilet/sink is located next to the covered pool area (next to garage)
High thread count sheets, nice pillows, good mattresses, fluffy bath towels and beach towels are all included. Hair dryers, Webber grill, 6 beach chairs are all for your use.
We provide a complementary bottle of wine so you can enjoy the space when you arrive. We also provide you with your first breakfast of muffins, butter, jam, coffee, and OJ.
Pass-a-grille Beach -in this location- is pristine and not crowded because public parking is at a minimum. You will have access to the garage for parking. 2 mid sized cars fit in the garage, or if larger vehicles, one in garage and one parallel to garage. Parking passes are available for street parking but I will need advance notice.
We purchased the home and the apartment in May 2014, and did some major renovating. We have another property Waterfront Charmer VRBO 163627 which we have been renting for about 12 years. We love vacationers and hope you have a great visit.We are one block from the beach. As a bird flies the cottage is directly behind a large Gulf Front home.

Cottage has a full 1/1 mother-in-law apartment that can be rented with the cottage, or have guests while you are in cottage. They have a private entrance, the are 2 windows (in kitchen and corner dining room) look out at the back of the pool. They cannot see into the pool.
