About Jo

A Yorkshire gal and her Manchester born husband.

We are expats living in Asia, for over 10 years.

Jo is an interior designer and renovator and Jeff works in the aeronautical industry

We have a 2 year old daughter who was born in Hong Kong

Jo purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Jo chose West Yorkshire

Kite cottage is a 'chocolate box' property and as soon as we heard the Earl of Harewood was selling his workers cottages, we knew we had to purchase one.

Owning a historic slice of Yorkshire is very special to us. We feel passionate about heritage property and having the opportunity to restore it to its former glory was a proud moment for us and our family. We want to be able to share that with visitors to the area.

Tradional pretty cottage.

Very nice cottage. Good location although some noise from the road. Amazing to see the red kites soaring in the sky from the living room window.

Would have been nice to have a microwave.

All in all a very nice cottage.

Lovely house, lovely setting ❤

  • 5 of 5

We found the house really comfortable to stay in, everything you need is at hand, and the location is perfect to get into Leeds, Harrogate and Ottley. The owners and host are so accommodating, and nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be returning to visit our favourite county and see what else we can find.
