The place was decent, but the owner is heartless and does not care about her visitors safety or well
We got the keys through a colleague of hers on Sunday afternoon, spent the night. Monday morning we went to Sorrento to get a boat, after securing the boat for Tuesday morning, we came back got all ready, and we were all excited for our boat trip, we woke up extra early at 7 since we had a 1 hour and half ride to Sorrento, got ready at 7: 30 as we came to open the door, the door to the condo would not open. It had gotten stuck, no matter what we tried we could not open the door. We called her immediately, and she said she will send a person to open, well that person came 45 minutes later, and worked on the door but could not open it. We were stuck on a 4th floor condo with 2 balconies and no way to go out. We demanded for her to open the door since at this point my kids were panicking, they were crying, it was getting very claustrophobic, we had no way out of this place. We had no food, no water at this time, and after complaining to her a few times with text for almost 2 hours later she finally called the fire department. They came but they were standing outside on the street for almost 2 hours we had no update on what was happening. Of course at this time, we had lost our deposit of $300 we had paid for the boat trip. The fire department finally brought a fire truck with a hydraulic lift to pull them up to the balcony so they could come in from the balcony with equipment to open the door or cut it. They opened the lock and found that a the long metal had gotten stuck in the floor of the apartment and that is why the door was not opening. We bearly left the appartment at 1:00 it took them this long to open that door. They wasted our precious vacation time, our nerves, my kids anxiety, they did not have to be worried or cry on the vacation. It was a very scary experience, both ti be able to leave this place. During the time we were stuck, and desperately waiting for an update. We decided this is not how we want to spend our vacation in panic, if we close the door the next time will it open again. We secured a different place and told her as soon this door opens we are out of this condo. This was a safety issue for us, if my kids or my husband has any sort of emergency or any fire that night we would have been dead in that appartment. There was no way out, I demanded a refund, and she said NO. My Credit Card Company has placed a stop on the transaction. She should take care of her condo in every way, and she obviously does not.
We found the apartment to be spacious with everything we needed for our week long stay in Naples. Both bedrooms were large and the bathrooms excellent with plenty of hot water. The view from the balcony was ever changing with Vesuvious on the horizon and the Bay filled with every kind of boat.
Excellent accueil. Appartement tout confort, épuré, et rénové tout récemment. Superbe vue sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve. Quartier sympa un peu en dehors de l'agitation de Naples. Nombreux commerces et restaurants à proximité. Tout était parfait.
Casadonnanna is located in Via Posillipo, right in front of Palazzo Donn' Anna, which is one of the most representative monument of the city. The location is what makes the house really special, indeed. The beach is right across the street, the supermarket is only 300m distant and the traditional food market is also very close. Additionaly, both the train station and the harbor are very close. With a beautiful panoramic walk, you can reach the heart of the city with all the shops and traditional bars.
