About John Chadd
We are a retired couple who have been coming to Barbados for over forty years. We love the island for the perfect climate, the beautiful beaches and clear, warm turquoise sea, the friendly, laid-back and helpful people and the safe environment. We have been to the island on over fifty occasions and always look forward greatly to our visits and are always sorry to leave despite living in a lovely part of England.

Why John Chadd chose Saint Lawrence Gap
It is brilliantly situated only a few metres from the sea and in the centre of St Lawrence Gap with it's great range of restaurants and other attractions. There is a well stocked convenience store next door and a supermarket a few hundred yards away. The apartment overlooks the secluded Mistle Cove beach and the famous Dover Beach is less than five minutes walk away. It would be hard to imagine a better situated apartment building than Mistle Cove.

To enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on the patio overlooking the ocean at sunrise or a sun-downer at sunset are two of the great pleasures of life!

Wonderful property in a great location on St Lawrence Gap. Close to bars and restaurants, but not effected by the noise of these at all. The property is lovely and is a real home from home. Loved watching the turtles nest on the beach at night, a real privilege. The owner John arranged for a taxi to pick us up on arrival and also advised of a good car hire company. Barbados and its people are wonderful, very friendly and hospitable. We dived extensively with Barbados Blue, fantastic dive centre and had the boat to ourselves most of the time - never seen so many turtles. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing, faultless
We had a wonderful holiday at Mistle Cove. What an amazing location. Our apartment was 10ft away from the beach. Lots of space and the beach and gardens are well kept. The gap is buzzing with lots of restaurants and bars and beautiful beaches.
Great property in a great location
Very spacious two bedroom directly on the ocean. We were able to hear the waves crashing on the shore the entire time we were there. There is a small beach directly behind the complex which our children loved. The grounds and the pool were well maintained and we mostly felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Close walk to the big beach and multiple restaurants.
A fantastic apartment in a fantastic location
If you have never been to St. Lawrence Gap before then you should definitely give it a try. If you have been there but haven't stayed at 102 Mistle Cove then you are missing out on a fabulous apartment positioned in the nicest location in the resort.
I travelled as part of a party of 4 - 2 sisters and their husbands. This was a repeat of a holiday from twelve months ago other than the decision to find an apartment rather than say in a hotel.
From the very start all e-mail exchanges with John Chadd were first class; here is an owner who is intent on ensuring that visitors to his lovely apartment are made most welcome.
On arriving at Mistle Cove we were met by a lovely American lady named Jobi who explained absolutely everything we needed to know about lights, ac unit operation, access and egress to the gated community, satellite TV functions etc. etc. By the time she left us we had clear and precise information that would ensure that our holiday would be problem free.
The apartment is extremely spacious and its ground floor location ensured that you weren't having to ascend flights of stairs or wait for the lift. There is a flight of about half a dozen steps which gets you from the private carpark up to the apartment block entrance - other that that there are no issues for any visitors who have mobility difficulties.
The entire resort is pretty level - certainly there are no steep gradients to trouble you as you stroll around in the sunshine.
The apartment block is superbly maintained and we noticed frequent visits from the pool cleaning man, the gardeners and the the handy man. Absolutely everything was being done to ensure that your stay was as enjoyable as it could be.
The balcony is huge and has a table and 4 chairs where we enjoyed our breakfasts every morning. There are also a couple of really comfortable easy chairs if you wanted to spend an hour reading a good book.
The kitchen is superbly appointed and the fridge/ freezer boasted chilled water and ice cubes to enable you to drink the tap water. There is no need to buy in water - the tap water is eminently drinkable.
There is an easy to use key-less safe in one of the bedrooms where your passports, cash and expensive electronic equipment can be safely stored. The key-less operation also means that you don't have the problem of keeping a safe key in your pockets when out and about.
If you are debating whether of not to book 102 Mistle Cove I urge you to go for it. You won't regret it.
Great apartment in the gap
We had a fantastic trip at Mistle Cove. Very conveniently located in the gap, but still felt like we were in a quiet oasis. Everything is as described but I would say even better than what we expected. Rooms are bright and clean, kitchen is fabulous and allowed us to comfortably cook most of our meals. Beach all to yourself, swimming pool. Dover beach 5 minutes away for a little more action if that's what your after.
Everything is walking distance. Highly recommend this apartment!!!
Fantastic beach front location
We were blown away with the fantastic view from the balcony, you literally have your own private beach! Dover beach is a short walk but we were happy to use this tiny private cove (make sure you take some beach/swim shoes as there are some rocks before you get to the sandy area.
This apartment is central to all of the bars on the gap and an ideal location. You can walk to the supermarket but be prepared as provisions in Barbados are much more expensive than UK.
The owners of the apartment were very helpful and gave us lots of advice and information.
The highlight was finding a baby turtle on the beach.
We loved our holiday in Barbados and would definitely recommend this apartment .
Top sights to be seen in Barbados include the Crane Beach, Bathsheba and the rugged East Coast, A day out in one of the catamarans such as Tiami or Cool Runnings is another treat not to be missed!!
