The cottage met our needs perfectly. Had everything we needed including a beautiful secure garden for the dog. The location was ideal and we had amazing views over the harbour. My only criticism would be that the cottage would benefit from some updating. The shower room downstairs was very dark and the shower cubicle very small. You couldn’t have a shower without getting your hair wet which was a bit of a pain as I have long hair! Having said that, there was a lovely bright bathroom with a bath and hand held shower.
We would definitely return to Galloway cottage.
Property amazing, has everything you need for a holiday. Fabulous location and amenities. Myself, husbsnd and 3 year old had a great time.
Thank you for this, we are glad you enjoyed your stay there.

A very nice location, shared living space and beautiful garden to the rear. This was an excellent spot for a family get together.Only negative point was the downstairs bathroom which was a bit leaky and drainage from the shower and toilet is in need of some attention.
Great location but in need of modernisation
Perfect location but very disappointed with standard of the accommodation. Taps were loose in the downstairs shower room. Locks were shoddy. Decoration was very tired with signs of damp. The twin beds were very small (junior size not adult). Upstairs shower didn't work properly. Kitchen needs updating. Good garden space which we made god use of because the weather was great and we didn't really want to stay inside the house. We have the feeling that the owners are relying on the great location to secure the letting and therefore neglected the interior.
We are very sorry to read your thoughts and appreciate your opinion
Surprised by some of the remarks we arranged for our maintenance guy to go to the cottage. He found no problem with the taps, shower or locks
We have had an issue with the roof and there was a leak from the adjoining neighbours chimney but I can assure you this has been fully repaired and there is no damp
We do agree that the affected wallpaper is unsightly and needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
We will take your points on board and are sorry you did not enjoy your stay as well as others have
Ideal location - plenty room
Positioned as it is, overlooking the harbour, Galloway Cottage is ideally placed to admire the ever-changing sea view and close to local amenities. Pubs & restaurants are closeby and offer quality food at reasonable prices. If self-catering is the order of the day, the cottage is well equipped to prepare & enjoy your meals in spacious surroundings - weather permitting, the garden area is ideal for dining al fresco or just relaxing with a glass or two of your favourite tipple. The only downside for our short break was the weather but that's the west coast for you! Definitely worth another short stay when the sun comes out!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted you enjoyed our cottage as much as we do.
Personally I love when the sea is angry and am tucked up by the fire all warm and cozy
We hope to welcome you and your party back again soon
